Hello SpoilerTV. I’ve just joined the site as a show expert for Grey’s Anatomy. I’m new to this blog but not new to the show. Love love love it. I’ve written stuff about Grey’s before on my own blog and now have the opportunity to spout my often strong, biased opinions here on whatever subject you want. I love a good debate so feel free to disagree.
If Twitterverse is to be believed Grey’s will start filming Season 8 on 15th July (so says JCap), bringing an end to actor vacations and revving up the promotional PR for us poor long hiatus suffering viewers. But before we speculate about what delights Shonda Rhimes will bring us in September let’s remind ourselves of what happened during Season 7.
This is a 3 part series of blogs designed to help navigate the path to S8. Part one is the good, the bad and the just plain ugly. It's a long one, so here goes...
Best Episode: OK, so I think 710, Adrift and at Peace or 701 With You I am Born Again. I can’t decide. 710 probably wins for the outstanding sequence of scenes with Cristina/Derek and the end scene with Callie/Arizona. The best episodes for me are written and directed with subtlety and grace. And 710 does that so well. If you read the reviews you might think that 711, Disarm, is the best, but in my view that episode is over sentimental and unnecessary story telling. Or some reviews say that 722, the finale is the season winner. Having re-watched the whole season there is a stark difference between the writing and directing of 701 with the finale, 722 Unaccompanied Minor. 701 is superb. The tension in the episode is tangible, the cinematography creates a dark, edgy pressure and then in the midst we see classic comedy with Chief Webber dancing away. Grey’s is at it’s best when mixing dark story telling with comic genius. Contrast this with 722, which is poorly written, rushed, with bad characterisation. Generally uninspiring. Other excellent episodes include 718 Song Beneath the Song and 715, Golden Hour.
Worst Episode: 706 These Arms of Mine. This was a wasted episode. I salute the production team for trying something new with the documentary style, but it was difficult to watch our characters behaving differently to how we usually see them. It felt false and over-acted. This meant that stories that needed to be told fully were not, for example Arizona’s grant and Callie’s subsequent decision. Part of the enjoyment of this show is the depth of characters and telling the story in such a way as a documentary meant we only saw the superficial.
Second in the worst episode award is 712, Start Me Up, a dull filler of an episode which used up valuable screen time that could have been dedicated to really kick starting the true Chief Resident race stories.
Best Character and Characterisation: Cristina Yang. She is the most developed, most consistent, best-written character in the show. She is funny, dark and genius. This is only amplified by the fact that Sandra Oh plays her so brilliantly. I also really enjoyed watching Meredith this season. She took a little bit of a back seat in terms of storyline but what we saw of her was well written, consistent and progressive.
Worst Characterisation (not to be confused with worst character): Arizona Robbins. The strong, independent, mature ‘grown up’ character we knew in S5 and S6 is not the same weak, trodden upon, bailer we had in S7. And this is NOTHING to do with JCap, who has made something brilliant out of nothing this season. Kudos to her also for pushing out a baby and getting back to work in what seemed like only about 4 weeks. To some extent Callie Torres was also poorly characterised but you could also say that her behaviour was merely on the edge of her character rather than completely out of character.
Worst Character: Jackson Avery. I’ve lost the point to Avery (despite the fact he’s lovely totty) and thus can’t be bothered to even finish this sentence….
Best Storyline: Cristina and her PTSD. It’s obviously difficult to empathise with her, not many of us operate with a gun to our heads, but it takes writing genius for us to really feel what it’s like to deal with it, or even get close to this feeling. The writers stuck true to Cristina and the story ended beautifully in Adrift and At Peace. I also loved the heart-breaking and devastating Alzheimers storyline with Adele Webber and really hope this continues into S8. It would be good television to revisit some of the patients, and their progress. Although the clinical trial may well be destroyed…
Worst Storyline: Callie, Arizona and Mark baby threesome. This was almost a textbook definition of “how can writers annoy the most number of fans”. If you were a big supporter of this story you would surely be in the minority. There was nothing for Calzona fans, nothing for Mexie fans and very little for Mallie fans. What was Shonda thinking: the biggest and most iconic lesbian relationship on network TV in America, and she puts a man in the middle of it with boygirl “we were broken up” sex and a resulting baby? If the storyline itself wasn’t bad enough, the writing of it was a complete disaster. And unlike the Cristina/PTSD storyline, which was told respectfully and clearly, the calsloana soap was told either with crass narcissistic superficiality or so symbolically that you needed a PhD in psychology and philosophy to interpret the musical episode (by the way, I loved the musical episode!).
Best Acting: Goes to the ladies this season – Sandra Oh is just brilliant throughout the series. Sara Ramirez and Jessica Capshaw should be awarded a huge prize for their superb acting with extremely poor material. The best guest star is without doubt Loretta Devine for her heart breaking portrayal of Adele Webber.
Worst Acting: Well no one really stands out to be honest. They’re all pretty good. Eric Dane needs a great script to look really good and unfortunately the writers let him down. His dialogue was dull, repetitive and lifeless. There’s only so many times you can listen to “I’m a father”, “I’m a parent”. So he didn’t shine.
Best Music: One of the main reasons for me to watch Grey’s is for the music. I simply love it. This season did not disappoint. The best music came from Mumford & Sons, Adele, The National, Cary Brothers and Mackintosh Braun. All provided atmospheric, enchanting or emotional sound tracks to the stories. But really there was much more new stuff. The musical episode was excellent and a real celebration of what makes Grey’s so good to listen to. If I was disappointed then it was that a new Grey’s ‘anthem’ was not uncovered in the Wedding episode.
Funniest Lines: Seriously, so many to choose from that this could be the subject of a new blog post. But here are the highlights:
The most subtle was from April, “Sparkle…that was the name of my pony” (re-watch 710 for the context!). Subtle and genius.
Meredith, in 721, “My mother was about as nurturing as a steak knife”
Cristina, “"She's mostly tubes and wires. And she looks more like a chicken than a baby. Like a featherless, beakless chicken. You want to wait until she's cuter." 719, It’s a long way back.
Funniest Scene: Oh it has to be Cristina cutting Callie’s hair in 708, Something’s gotta give. Priceless. “You might want a hat!” I vote for a Cristina/Callie sit com.
I also loved Derek catching Bailey and Eli, at it, in the on-call room! Classic. 715, Golden Hour.
Who did I ship this season: Although not a die-hard shipper generally, I was a Callie/Arizona fan (I’m a romantic) until Callie went narcissistic and Arizona lost her bottle. Now it’s difficult to like them as a couple. But as a romantic, I loved 718 White Wedding and I am rooting for them big time in S8. I am sad for Mark and Lexie, this is the “to die for chemistry” couple that get shafted too many times and I don’t like it. MerDer, slightly dull this season.Teddy and Henry are just cute (although doomed) as are Bailey and Eli. Cristina and Owen – never was a much of a fan. Still not. Lexie/Jackson – eeuuuww. Yuk.
Unexplored sexual chemistry that should’ve been explored: Teddy and the CIA guy. Smokin’! 708, Something’s gotta give.
Who did I fall in love with: Alex. I’ve really struggled to like him over the years but this season I finally fell, 718 White Wedding (yeah, you know the scene I’m talking about!), and I am crushed at where Shonda has left him in the season finale. I am, however, secretly hoping he runs off with Arizona…(I know, I know, she’s a gold star lesbian, it’s never gonna happen, but they are too cute together…)
Best speech: Arizona’s “brother” speech in 718, White Wedding. She nails the speech every time. This also restored my faith in Mark (I’m a Mark fan and he’s been disappointing me). April’s “we all have stuff we don’t talk about” speech in 703, Superfreak opened my eyes to how good her character can be.
Other great moments – Meredith finally telling Lexie she loves her, and to grow up all in the same breathe; Derek falling in love with Zola (now THAT is on screen chemistry at work); Richard and Adele, finally, yet tragically happy; Bailey curing fistulas.
Most interesting plot factoid: All three significant relationships in the show got married this season and have a child (or are at least pregnant). Nothing about that last sentence is very “Grey’s”.
So that’s my view of the highlights and lowlights of S7. I thought S6 and even S5 were better but that won't put me off tuning into S8. In the next blog we'll take a look at the emotional shoot out Shonda Rhimes left us with.
So tell me…what are your highlights?
In my opinion the worst character ir April, I found her annoying. But I can understand why you don't like Avery.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think I'm starting to hate Callie, I loved her, but this season it seamed to be Torre's Anatomy, and I her pregnancy was a terrible storyline.
Great article :) Reminded me of some great moments this season!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, I don't much like Avery. Pointless and still doesn't feel like one of the cast.
And the baby storyline has been awful and my opinions of Callie + Arizona (which were so so high) have dropped a little.
Thanks for the well written first article! Welcome to the site :).
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you about most of your major points (the premiere was great and the finale much less so, Sandra Oh is fantastic, Avery being pseudo-pointless, Alex became a lot more likable), but I do have a few things with which I disagree.
1. I really liked the Mark/Callie/Arizona dynamic. I mean, Callie wanted kids and the show was going to go there. Meredith/Derek went the adoption route, so, the only other option for them was sperm donor I suppose. It just made a lot more sense storywise for her to have a baby with her best male friend.
2. I also loved the documentary episode. I thought the way they worked with the Mandy Moore story was beautiful.
3. Season-wise, I absolutely loathed S6. It had the worst season premiere of all the seasons of Grey's thus far and S5 was even worse with the Izzy/Cancer story. S6 then turned around and gave us one of the best season finales I have ever seen, which then lead to what has been my favourite season since the first three (S7).
Other than that, in general, I was a little disappointed with the lack of material given to Bailey. I also hope that next season, Avery becomes more useful by being April's closest ally or friend or something.
Oh I love April. Sarah Drew has such great comic timing. The contrast of April and Cristina is brilliant. I think it's just a shame the writers haven't developed her well enough for people to like, because, yes, she is annoying.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the warm welcome!
ReplyDeleteI just wish the Callie baby story was written and executed a bit more gracefully. Then perhaps it would have been more palatable. Although I didn't like the documentary episode, you are right about the Mandy Moore story but it could have been explored/exploited much more in the season as a plot device for Bailey, who I agree did not get nearly enough material.
While I agree with basically everything you said...I'm saddened you didn't mention anything about the utter lack of Meredith and Derek. Not that I expect them to always be front and center and am more than okay with other plots taking top focus (I enjoyed most of the Cristina heavy episodes actually) I don't understand how the couple that used to be the main focus can't even get five minutes of plot time in an episode. It's beyond frustrating. Especially with how last season finished, they're clearly should have been some more aftermath from that, and then the fertility issues...Shonda just dropped the ball on the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteHey, alright. Finally someone else who vocally dislikes Jackson Avery. High five!
ReplyDeleteSince I am not a "shipper" I DID like the baby story. I think the complicated relationship between Mark and Arizona is great. It's the only relationship story at the forefront of the season that wasn't about a couple or a potential couple. I don't give a flying fig tree about "calzona" or "mexie" or "mallie."
First off awesome article!
ReplyDeleteIam half with you on some of your points and half not. I must say I really enjoyed the doc episode, it was different and it taped into my love of reality tv. Lol Iam a huge calzona fan like huge and I do agree I was annoyed with the triangle storyline. I knew she was gona get pregnant by him which ticked me off, but I was secretly wishing the baby wouldn't make it. (I know that's terrible) but I felt calzona was probably the most relatable couple on the show (despite them being lesbians) I felt adding this triangle with mark distracts from the magic that made them such a compelling couple to watch. I agree yangs character was phenomenal this season. I started to appreciate keppnera lot more this season. Oh and Adeles storyline Omg talk about pulling on someone's heart strings loretta was Devine!!!
Well it wasn't deliberate. I feel the show is very much an ensemble and has been since season 2. I've generally enjoyed the season (despite my 'worst' comments) and although I noticed a lack of Meredith and Derek it didn't really bother me because when we did get it the stories were good. It's been quoted in the media that the Meredith stories were hospital stories this season given the place that her relationship is in, and that's what we got. The other thing to remember is that Shonda has to prepare the show for the possible and very likely exit of her primary couple. She's saying in the press that she will focus S8 on the original cast. Therefore she's had to build up the newer cast so that in the event of departures and a continuation into S9, she has strong characters and relationship stories. IF she is to be believed, and I usually take her comments with a pinch of salt, S8 will be very MerDer focussed.
ReplyDeleteOh and fav line was oh and my fav line was from 709, Bailey's drunk wants about fistulas and her talk with April so hilarious!!!
ReplyDeleteYes you're right, it is a fantastically complicated relationship to portray, which makes for great TV. But why did they have to alter and unpick Arizona's character to do it? It was badly told.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteBailey drunk. Forgot all about that piece of genius writing!
I have nothing good to said about this season so I should keep my mouth shut...but...well..need to said something....So far except 3 or 4 episodes, this is the WORST season EVER of Grey's Anatomy. If I didn't like a lot of season 6, this one was worse. Nothing made sense, any character was really focused or in character most of the times. The lack of Meredith & Derek was really dissappointing. The bad writing and the unfocus in the storylines they chose to be front and center this season just made it disgusting. I don't recognize this show. Where's the relationship drama not only between the couples but between the residents. 14 characters all getting bit and piece of something to do in every episode just made things seems choppier than ever. There wasn't emotion in any episode at all, nor any funny lines..this season was mostly boring and in their second half it was even worst. And it's sad, because after the SF of S6 this was a promising season...but too bad every creative decision was wrong and poorly written and developed.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, that excuse just doesn't work for me. I've never heard of a show writing NOTHING for the primary couple and the two biggest stars on the show because they "might" leave in a couple of seasons. It's not fair to the actors and it's not fair to the fans (not that Shonda cares what the fans think, which she's all but said). It's not like they even had that much apart either, they had nothing period. There were numerous episodes in which we didn't even see Derek (who use to put himself in for LEAD actor for Emmy's) for the first half hour and as for Meredith's plot being the hospital, that wasn't much of a plot. Yes, what we go was adorable, I'm not arguing that. But it also made no sense...they went from trying to get pregnant to finding out Meredith had a hostile uterus (very treatable) and saying they weren't doing treatments, to suddenly being on fertility drugs, to stopping the fertility drugs because of her sight problems and then to deciding to adopt, with NO communication between them. There's writing a couple in the background and then there's whatever this mess was. They have hardly had any movement from the second they signed the post it and now they actually seem to be on the verge of a break up. It's beyond frustrating to the fans of the couple and it's horrible writing and I don't understand how it can be defended with the fact they MIGHT be leaving at the end of NEXT season.
ReplyDeleteAnd from the sounds of it, the only reason Patrick is even really considering leaving now is because he's just as frustrated with the same thing fans are.
There is no doubt that producers have to take into consideration actors contracts when planning story lines. I can only imagine (and I'm only guessing here, I've no idea what goes on in Shonda's mind), that the Grey's production team are so acutely aware that they could lose 6 major characters at the end of S8 that they have to build up the rest of the ensemble to potentially carry the show onwards. Cristina was the only original character to get a major storyline of her own this season. It can't be just a coincidence that Alex and Bailey got very little story either (well Alex did towards the end but it was poor). If I were a betting woman, I would say that the show could survive without EP and PD. And I'm sure many out there will disagree with me on that but IMO the show is bigger than MerDer. Don't get me wrong, I like the couple, always have. However I don't think the show could survive if EP, PD, SO and JC, even CB and JPjn all leave, without a strong back up cast to take over. And my guess is that a strong back up cast is what Shonda tried (and maybe failed) to achieve in S7.
ReplyDeleteI may of course be totally wrong!
The problem is that the cast is too big so whatever story you do get is diluted; the story phasing throughout S7 was poor, hence the jam packed and badly edited Wedding episode and the quality of writing was at times, I agree with you, suspect.
I liked the season. I hope season eight is better, though.
ReplyDeleteAnd Alex is my favorite character. I desperately hope he gets his own storyline this season! Especially if it might be the last.
And I'm in the minority with liking the Callie/Arizona/Mark storyline. I can't explain why I love it, but I did.
I liked April right up until she got Derek shot in season six. She semi redeemed herself this season.
Great review of S7! I love hearing other people's thought on television shows and was happy you wrote this! I agreed with almost everything you said about the season. For myself, I thought the season started off strong and great and really enjoyed Grey's again like I did for S5, but once the Callie/Mark/Arizona stuff happened, the season just went down hill for me. The Callie/Arizona/Mark thing is really what killed the season and to a degree, the characters themselves. I LOVE Callie and Arizona, but I didn't feel they were a couple at all this season. Arizona definitely became weak and I feel the writers seriously could have thought of a better storyline for her to leave since JCap had to go on maternity leave. I think what really bothered me is that I felt like the new baby is only Callie and Mark's and not Arizona's. Adding Mark to the mix just ruins Calzona's awesomeness. I love what you said about the season finale because it was exactly what I thought. Of course, we didn't need a shooting to make the season finale exciting and leave you wanting more, but S7's finale really offered nothing. Every other finale has had good cliffhangers or just good storytelling. As for characters, I don't like where Alex is at at this point because I feel like he lost all the development he had during S5 & S6. I also do not like Avery because I really feel like he is useless. The same goes for Teddy IMO. I could go on and on but it will be basically everything else you said haha. I was just disappointed with the season. I will still watch S8 though!
ReplyDeleteEven if Grey's got truly abysmal I don't think I could stop watching. I'm waaaay too invested in the characters.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the site and congrats on your first post :)
ReplyDeleteVery well written article!! loved it!! I totally agree with you about everything you said.
ReplyDeleteNot a big fan of Avery (regardless of his sexy look) neither of the baby storyline, I love Bailey, Arizona and Cristina.
I enjoyed every episode except of 7.22. The worst written!!! but I'm so looking forward watching season 8
PS: I never lose hope about Alex running off with Arizona! They're so cute together *sigh*
HAAH I used to hate April but this season I liked her a lot. she was adorable hha
ReplyDeleteI don't actually disagree with you at all on what you said. I have always loved all the characters on this show (up until this season that is, as many of them were dragged under the bus for me...for many of the reasons you said) and I don't disagree that if she wants the show to continue she needs to build up the newer characters up more. But with how this season played out, I felt like she sacrificed the older characters for the newer ones and that just turns a lot of long time fans off, which isn't how it should work.
ReplyDeleteIt makes sense to me to no longer have Mer/Der be front and center anymore. I didn't actually mind at all the fact Callie and Arizona were (or well I wouldn't have minded had it not been such a horrid plot line...had she actually had them face REAL issues that lesbians face I think it could have been brilliant) nor did I mind seeing Teddy go through the dating thing (as a single girl, I thought that was hilarious actually) but she then turned around and gave the original ship on this show absolutely nothing. She gave who used to be the lead actor a couple of lines an episode at times, which is entirely wrong when you have a star like Patrick Dempsey (and yes, I am biased toward him, I'm aware but he is the biggest name on the show) and yet he was getting less screen time than guest stars. She just seemed to forget that Meredith and Derek existed.
I'm honestly not complaining that they are no longer the main focus, what bothers me and where I think the show REALLY failed this season is that what she gave them wasn't a story at all. There was no movement there. They're still living in the frat house like college students. They never communicated about building their home (which makes NO sense), they never really discussed their fertility issues, they had nothing. We just saw them jumping from point A to point B to point C with no rhyme or reason. And in the end...Derek walked away from Meredith and went to sleep alone. And while I know Shonda says they'll be fine...we went from the Season 6 finale of "If you die, I die" to "I can't have a child with you" with a hole bunch of crap in between. If she wants to make them background that's fine...but what she did was give the fans scraps and then stab us all in the back.
And a big cast doesn't make that forgivable. It's bad, lazy writing and showing absolutely no consideration for the fans or for what made the show big in the first place.
If anything, this season made me realize the show WON'T work without Meredith and Derek as it's basically what we got....and it didn't work at all for me.
Patrick is beyond frustrated with the Mer/Der storyline and that should tell Shonda something.
Alex is so loveable, he just needs love for that. When he is alone, he can be a real ass. He needs his Izzie back and I really don't know how Shonda will find someone who can hold herself against his perfect Iz.
ReplyDeleteSo either she finds him someone who will really take Izzie's place OR send him to wherever Izzie went OR bring Katherine Heigl back for a few eps for him to get over her (or bring her back altogether, I know that won't happen).
Right now it would satisfy me the most, if she came back for two eps and took him with her in the end. They belong together. And I miss Izzie.
Izzie's cancer story was great, it gave Katherine Heigl and Justin Chambers very good material to work with, the only bad thing about that was the Denny thing.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Christina being the best character but I didn't like the musical episode so much and the storyline between Derek and Meredith didn't provoke me anything but annoyance. I like the teddy/ henry couple though and I'd love a romantic story with april and one of the guys, maybe avery I don't know
ReplyDeleteI can see how April gets annoying sometimes...but sometime shes quite good :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I totally disagree on you when we're talking about s07e10. Come on, it sucked big time.... it's a lazy xmas episode, made me miss season 2 xmas one
ReplyDeleteI don't like Avery too ;)
ReplyDeletebut that comes because I'm a hard core Mexie shipper so ;)
I ma like him a bit more in season 8 when he gets it on with April. I so hope for it to happen ;)
as long as Mexie is back on and to stay
Thanks! It will be interesting how Shonda writes the day to day parenting of this child
ReplyDeleteThank for the welcome!
ReplyDeleteMy money's on April, but bringing KH back for a couple of episodes is not outside realms of possibility.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Good to know there are other secret Alex/Arizona shippers out there ;-)
ReplyDeleteLazy Christmas music I would agree, but it moves the story in a well written and directed way. Which is the best in your view?
ReplyDeleteI agree with most of what you said, not only did Jackson become pointless this season, he became annoying, whereas IMO, April really came into her own, I loved that she started standing up for herself (7x03).
ReplyDeleteAgree on the worst episode, I'm all for trying new things, but there are some ideas that are just never going to work, 7x18 was great though. I do think the best episode was the premiere though, I stopped watching towards the end because I didn't like where it was going, it got a little too soapy for my taste, they still have a season to fix it though.
Love - Meredith and Derek adopting, Meredith telling Lexie she loves her (and telling her what she needed to hear), Alex (no explanation necessary), the progression with April, Amelia and Addison showing up.
Disliked - That they didn't go further with Alex's family storyline, Callie/Arizona/Mark baby thing, Meredith messing with the clinical trial,
Will I be watching next season: as I said in another post, no idea yet, going to wait and see what they throw at us.
It would be a good step :)
ReplyDeleteWell you’ve probably already guessed that I’m a supporter of the ensemble. So I don’t really count the screen time of any of the actors. I am a MerDer fan but I’m also really happy watching other characters and relationships and have no problem with them getting a lot of screen time (well maybe not Jackson). But you really raise a good point about how the stories were handled. I actually think Meredith and Derek were given good storylines, both together and separately (Cristina, clinical trial, miscarriage, infertility, golden hour, adoption, Alex). The problem, as you’ve identified, is that most of them were very poorly and often superficially executed, with some very bad writing, and sometimes on the edge of other shorelines. None of their issues were dealt with properly. A lot of your comments about how the stories were dealt with also apply to most of the other characters. Callie/Arizona continue to have big communication issues that have been completely brushed over. Cristina/Owen – she’s never wanted kids, and this seems like a surprise to Owen. There is no progression for Alex (despite Shonda saying to the contrary) and also none for Lexie and Mark. The other important question you raise is how important are EP and PD to the future success of the show. On your comments (and I know is a large bank of fans who also have this view) they are the primary couple, without them the show dies, but I get the feeling Grey’s producers are trying to convince us that they are no more important than Cristina (by default Owen), Alex, Lexie, Callie and probably Arizona (given continual MFEO comments). Love your comment about Teddy by the way.
ReplyDeleteKatherine Heigl just rubs me the wrong way. I liked Izzy in S1-S3, but then she got shrill and unpleasant. And while I'm a big fan of Justin Chambers, he would have been better off with a better acting partner.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, yes, the Denny arc is what bothered me the most.
I don't know who you are, but I love you :D I agree with most of your opinions. I love Cristina so much and her PTSD storyline was sad but great.
ReplyDeleteAnd I also think Jackson isn't interesting anymore. I mean, I like him, but mostly because of fanfictions because in the show he's acting stupid. And I can't stand him with Lexie.
I agree about the Mark/Callie/Arizona triangle along with the baby. Worst storyline in Grey's.
ReplyDeleteMark and Lexie are meant to be together, and it seems like the writers get them together every season, just to break them up again. Can we please see a happily ever after with them this season? Like you said, they have "to die for chemistry."
I think April and Jackson should be together.
I love your article and agree with everything you wrote! Good stuff. Season 8 can't get here fast enough!
I agree with you...by the way great article...
ReplyDeleteI hate the callie/Arizona-Mark storyline...The love and magic in Calzona turn off in a few episodes(10-17) and I a big fan of Calzona since season 5...But I have to say, I love Jessica and Sara like an actresses.. They are so amazing, their chemistry It's just brilliant.... and Sandra Oh So amazing...
I hate Jackson, he just shouldn't be there... He is annoying.. and April I like her now... she's great
I hope Alex can have happiness and can find someone who understands
I hope Shonda give us a new season with good storyline
This is my opinion on s7, word-for-word. Glad to know I'm not alone!
ReplyDeleteInteresting commentary. While I think they pushed the redux of PTSD with Christina too far, I have to agree on all the rest. Biggest disappointment was the way they destroyed AZ and C/A. CAM was a total disaster, because it played out like Mark and his sister wives...just ICK!!!
ReplyDelete
