Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane recently entered a rehab clinic in Los Angeles to battle an addiction to painkillers.
"Actor Eric Dane voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus. He reports back to work next week. Business as usual," his rep says in a statement.
The news comes just a few weeks after PEOPLE confirmed that Dane, 38, and his wife Rebecca Gayheart, 39, are expecting their second child. Daughter Billie is 16 months old.

I hope Eric gets the help he needs and kills it on Grey's this season
ReplyDeleteYou know it is more then they are saying.
ReplyDeleteYou're not really an actor until you've spent at least a day in rehab.
ReplyDeleteIs it mean of me to say that I can't help but feel this is being significantly down played?
ReplyDeleteI don't see why saying is would be mean. If you said they're making too much of a fuss about this when there's not actually a problem and it's all press, THAT'D be mean.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, I'm wishing all the best to him and also his family.
I do hope he can be helped - soon. Though the "2-weeks-in-rehab-and-then-back-to-shooting" plan sounds a little bit ... well. Weird.
Good luck to him! I'm glad he's getting help.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing that he's dealing with his addiction and i hope he gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteYour last comment is what I'm referring to. I think he's been advised to go public as damage control. 2 weeks away form shooting is not a big deal in 9 months of shooting. No real need to tell us that.
