Sheen will play a “a mild-mannered, non-confrontational man is ordered to attend group anger management sessions led by a therapist who could probably use some anger management himself.”

“I chose Anger Management because, while it might be a big stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it is a great concept,” Sheen said in a statement. “It also provides me with real ownership in the series, a certain amount of creative control and the chance to be back in business with one of my favorite movie producers of all time, Joe Roth.”

  1. I really hope this show doesn't get picked up.

  2. I will never watch Charlie Sheen ever. Never even watched Two and a half men.

  3. A break for Mr.Winning would be the best... but I'd watch that show just to see how a good movie may or  may not be screwed up

  4. I'd watch the first episode just to cry laughing at how awful it would evidently be

  5. I AM laughing already, but it's at a joke I don't think the folks at Lion's Gate get.

  6. The movie was pretty good and I can see it making for a good series honestly. Never got any of the Sheen hate. I don't love him, but he has had some very funny movies or series and is a great sitcom lead.

  7. Because Sheen said "I chose Anger Management because, while it might be a big stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it is a great concept,”

Ask his former wives/girlfriends whether or not he has anger management issues.

  8. With most people, I'd say it's pretty certain he was being sarcastic.

    With Charlie Sheen...

  9. Ask 25% of actors or actresses spouses or ex-spouses.....

His personal life is something I will never judge or care about. I'm not taking letting him date my daughter (If I had one), interviewing him for a babysitter position or setting him up with my mom (who would go out with him in a second I know anyway), I'm just watching him on TV and the rest is none of my business.

I could not care less what someone does in their personal life... legal, illegal or immoral....

  10. I read it as obvious sarcasm too...

Interesting although I doubt that it would be a stretch for him

  12. cbs will buy this show and air it before  2 and 1/2 men

  13. TMZ is reporting Sheen is playing the therapist with anger problems (Jack Nicholson's role), not the patient.

  14. I'm the direct opposite.  With minor things I don't care, but once a celebrity rubs me the wrong way with their personal statements I refuse to support them with my time or money.  Charlie Sheen is currently one of these.  I hope he gets help and I hope this TV show fails miserably.

  15. I need charlie to go sit down

  16. If a celeb rubs me the wrong way I lose interest too, but it takes serious effort to annoy me on that level since I don't tale things personally. Not with people I don't know personally or care about that is.

Dahne I can easily respect anyone who dislikes an actor or director for any reason (I still don't know why I can't watch Julianna Margulies), but why would you want a series to fail? That I don't understand.

Even if you had literal hate for an actor, that series employs dozens of other people. Add in that people have different tastes and you are also depriving those people of a series they may like or love or obsess over.

  17. I don't hate Charlie Sheen at all.  I feel sorry for him.  I really hope that this series isn't picked up because I think he needs to hit rock bottom before he will get help.  I find it extremely distasteful that this show is using Charlie Sheen's problems to capitalize on buzz.  I know that's the way that Hollywood and most of the world works, but it disgusts me and I certainly hope that they do not profit from it.
