Kind of feels like a hybrid of Buffy and Dark Angel (without Buffy's horror elements and without Dark Angel's heavy SciFi elements), but doesn't draw me in as much as either of those pilots did.
In all honesty it feels a bit "Disney-fied" to me. Has an interesting premise but not dark or moody enough as my usual favorites I guess. It still might be some light-drama, light-action fun for a Summer distraction. It's cute and has potential so I will give it a few more episodes before I decide.
If I had the power I would not allowed the world to see another episode of this show. Bad acting, bad script, bad effects, bad make-up. Seriously, who thought this was a good idea? I'm gutted.
Tuning into an ABC Family series and expecting high quality acting, big budget FX and subtle writing is like going to an office supply store trying to buy shoes.
On ABC Family you know what you're getting for the most part and expecting something else is just setting oneself up for a let down.....
creepy i never read the books of this but this is crazy similar to a book i wrote for a writing class n i never even heard about it while i was writing it
I really enjoyed it. Started off quite cheesy and Chloe's friends are quite annoying, but I think it got better as the episode went on. I like how Chloe has the sass and quips that Buffy had, and the show isn't taking itself too seriously. Although there were parts that seemed really random or too overdramatic, I will definitely be tuning in next week.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
it's pretty cool. I'll check next week's episode out.

ReplyDeleteWow. Don't name too many redeeming qualities or you may not get your point across that you don't like this show. ;)
