Thanks to jmctimelord for the heads up.
Barrowman told Zap2it: "I've always said that if I'm asked to go back to Doctor Who, I'll go at the drop of a hat. That's where Captain Jack got his beginnings."
He added that Jack's possible return had "already been discussed" by Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat and Torchwood creator Russell T. Davies.
"It's in the cards, but who knows whether it will happen?" he said.
Barrowman also praised current Doctor Who star Matt Smith, but admitted that he still feels "attached" to his former co-star David Tennant.

Okay, but if they bring back Rose, I'm going to place a bloody bomb near BBC-headquarters...
ReplyDeleteYes Please!
ReplyDeleteAnd about a million shippers will bludgeon you to death on the way out.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though. Rose, Martha and Donna are gone for good. The side characters that came with them, too.
Jack is a bit of an exception. He was actually Moffat's creation anyway.
I liked Rose! She was my favorite new series companion (besides Jack), but I guess I agree with you there. They're gone with 10. They don't need to be around 11. But I still want Jack back. =D
ReplyDeleteHis debut was in a Moffat episode, but he was created by Davies as part of the overall series 1 arc.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how Miracle Day will affect Jack's canon before he reappears in Doctor Who. Like when he left Earth in Children of Earth after being responsible for his grandson's death he was last seen by Ten depressed in a space bar. I wonder what his circumstances will be by the end of Miracle Day.
ReplyDeleteWell during season 5 when river song was in the bar with the big blue bloke, he sold her a vortex manipulator stolen from a time agent. So doubting he will have that if/ when he returns
ReplyDeleteYES! Poor Rory, another sensual bloke to battle his girl from. :D
ReplyDeleteLove to see Martha and Donna too!! Fave companions!
