Community
Apparently Community is trying to tap Michael Kenneth Williams for a guest role on the show's next season. The 44 year old actor, best known for his portrayal of Omar Little on HBO's The Wire and currently starring as Chalky White on Boardwalk Empire, has been contacted by the Community producers to guest star in season 3, but no decision has been made yet.

Would be awesome if it turns out to be true. Maybe he'll show up as Troy's dad?
ReplyDeleteWow, the people who work on Community sure have the best casting tendencies...
ReplyDeletePft. They're okay. They'd be the best if they'd take my advice and cast JP Manoux as Dean Pelton's brother.
ReplyDeleteyesplz
ReplyDeleteSo far they've only mentioned a sister as far as I remember.
ReplyDeleteBut I checked out Manoux's imdb page and found out he was Not Moby on HIMYM and the robot guy on Euro Trip, already like this guy and approve of your idea.
They could always cast him as a doppelganger sent by City College to replace the dean.
ReplyDeleteTroy : I think I got half of it, which got me through the half I didn't.
ReplyDeleteAbed : Like the first season of The Wire.
I think I would pee my pants and bow towards my screen (not in the same time) if Michael K. Williams does the cult Omar Little whistle, or if Abed whistles it as Michael K. WIlliams' character approaches.
Actually I just looked up the name of the song... I didn't expect that : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxQGkPcAze4.
After Lance Reddick guest-starring in the upcoming season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, another great The Wire actor might appear in another of my favourites comedies, that's nice !
I was about to say I had no clue who that was, but it's Chalky White, so yay!
ReplyDeleteWe need a rival for Magnitude. Chalky ought to do the trick.
ReplyDeleteMichael is amazing as both Omar and Chalky I would love to see him do some full out comedy
ReplyDeleteThat'd be awesome to have him on the show. I honestly mistook the guy who plays Dean Pelton now for JP Manoux until I actually looked him up to see what else he had been in, only to realize they were 2 different people.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen Michael do comedy? I think I'd love to see him has a super serious/mysterious guest star a la Josh Holloway last season finale.
ReplyDeletewould be excellent, and as Troy's Dad it's be hilarious what he could do
