Banned? Nah. I remember reading that one of the early critical critiques of the pilot was just that. They had doubts about her playing a doctor. It didn't look all that bad to me.
Even though it's an improvement from the shorter promo, I'm still not sure about it. It looks like a Hallmark movie rather than a show IMO, but I might check it out after a few episodes have aired.
The thing that confuses me most about this preview is..... when exactly did saying 'from the executive producers of Gossip Girl' become a selling point to anything?
This walks the line for me between sappy soap nonsense and unwatchable fish out of water drama..... and yet it seems like it might have a certain charm about it. I think I will check it out a few episodes before I decide....
I think it's better than the short one and looks like a good medical dramedy with a Rachel Bilson and Scott Porter who are really great. I'm sorry about the recast of the nurse. She seems to be a nice character I hope it will become an hit or a modest hit.... It doesn't deserve to start worse than Hellcats!
this doesnt look that bad. cheesy at times but watchable. im probably one of many only watching for summer roberts. they totally should have said from the creator of "The O.C.", much better selling point lol
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Despite the fact that this looks like an ABC Family drama with a REAL budget and good actors, this is still a big improvement from the shorter promo.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sold on this yet but this is a step in the right direction.
i'll stick to Secret Circle and Ringer
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I'll get banned for saying I don't find Rachel believable as a doctor, and the show doesn't look like it will last long.

ReplyDeleteThat disclaimer up at the top made me say that. I remember on The CW boards if you even criticized an actor's acting they would ban you.
ReplyDeleteHa, we're not that strict ;)
ReplyDeleteAs long as people are polite and there is no personal abuse we're
pretty open and friendly here ;)
Looks good.
ReplyDeleteOkay, thanks.:)

ReplyDeleteIf any channel deserves to have it's actors criticized for their performances... it's the CW!!! Ha!
ReplyDeleteSad they ban you for being truthful.

Hey now! I like a few ABC Family shows (Kyle XY, Greek, Pretty Little Liars), well mostly cancelled ABCF shows, but still....
ReplyDeleteThen again I completely agree with your point! Ha!
