THE SACRIFICE RITUAL BEGINS — With the arrival of the full moon, Elena (Nina Dobrev) tries to prepare for whatever Klaus (guest star Joseph Morgan) has planned and Tyler (Michael Trevino) faces his second transformation. The terrifying events quickly spin out of control, despite an unexpected act of courage. Finally, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) admits the truth to Stefan (Paul Wesley) about a terrible new development they must face... Steven R. McQueen, Sara Canning, Kat Graham, Candice Accola, Zach Roerig and Matt Davis also star. Paul M. Sommers directed the episode written by Caroline Dries & Mike Daniels (##221).

  3. It's too early to tell, but we might be looking at a "Lord Voldemort" situation where Klaus needs to occupy Rick's body for a while by the time he reconstructs his own. That might actually explain why so few people have met Klaus.

  4. not to mention that Alaric might also be a sort of Klaus-sent dream :)

    Just because actor is in episode, does not mean that character is alive. I thought people learnt this already way way back during Buffy Season , when R.Lamorte was cast for entire season to play certain character and that character bit the dust way way way before season finale.

    Maybe Caroline's mom...I just don't want John to die.I want him to have a chance with Elena..Plus,I really enjoy watching David Anders!Loved him in Alias and I've really missed him!
