LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- New seasons of "Burn Notice" and "Royal Pains" and newcomers "Suits" (formerly "A Legal Mind") and "Necessary Roughness" are the latest additions to USA's summer lineup, sources tell us exclusively.

A network spokesperson couldn't confirm at press time* however it's understood they'll roll out as follows:

-- "Notice" returns for season five on Thursday, June 23 at 9:00/8:00c followed by "Suits" at 10:00/9:00c. The latter revolves around a brilliant but unmotivated college dropout (Patrick J. Adams) who's recruited by one of Manhattan's top corporate lawyers (Gabriel Macht). Aaron Korsh created the Universal Cable Productions-based hour, which also stars Gina Torres, Meghan Markle and Rick Hoffman. Hypnotic's Doug Liman and David Bartis also serve as executive producers.

-- "Pains" then shifts to Wednesday nights at 9:00/8:00c for its third season launch on June 29 followed by the Callie Thorne-led "Roughness" at 10:00/9:00c. Thorne plays a tough, sexy Long Island divorcee who gets a job as therapist for a professional football team in order to make ends meet and soon finds herself a sought-after therapist to high-profile clients. Marc Blucas, Mehcad Brooks and Scott Cohen co-star in the series, from Sony Pictures Television and Universal Cable Productions. Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro are the co-creators.

The quartet join the previously announced "White Collar" and "Covert Affairs" this summer, both of which return Tuesday, June 7. Still to be announced: a return date for "Psych," which traditionally kicks off its season in July or August.

Also on tap: "Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe" on Sunday, April 17 as well as new seasons of "In Plain Sight" and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" on Sunday, May 1.

* [UPDATED! 7:35 PM] Ted Linhart, VP of Program Research at USA Network, subsequently confirmed these dates via Twitter, adding that "Psych" will return in the fall.

  2. I hope there's a winner amongst this new group of shows. Fairly Legal may be renewed but the show is mediocre. The network can do better.

  5. I have to wait till the fall for Psych? But that's my summer show! I really wish that USA would just play all of their shows in the summer and forget trying to compete with the networks. There's already enough to watch during the year, but I pretty much leave my TV on USA in the summertime lol. If White Collar, Burn Notice, Psych, Covert Affairs and Royal Pains were all on this summer, I'd be set.

  7. I have to wait for Psych?! This is terrible news. That is my favorite show on TV. C'mon, USA, I love your shows, but give me my Psych back.
