  1. Ok, so the first teaser we got was still picture with overdubbed narration. Now this second teaser was no narration or audio to match the video and a some slow motion disjointed video. I figured with Torchwood being on STARZ now that we may get more money spent on promotion, but these two teasers seem really cheap!

That said..... CANNOT WAIT for the new season.

  2. This is a TEASER, not a trailer, not a full promo. There's still a couple of months before Miracle Day starts, why would Starz go into full promo mode from the start and risk over saturation?

  3. I understand and agree to a point. Maybe I am just spoiled by the HBO marketing for Game of Thrones. They released promo teases that were full productions months ahead of the series and built up with more teasers, trailers, interviews and more behind the scenes material.

  4. If we've learned anything from USA's promotion team it's that there is never too many promos. It's absolutely uncanny how good USA is at promoting their original programming.

  5. Yep. HBO and USA are the best at promotingtheir series. USA is consistent for every series, but HBO seems to have more promo material for only certain shows.

  6. Tell me about it. HBO gives the full-court press for shows like True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, and Game of Thrones while leaving shows like Hung and Bored to Death to fend for themselves.

  7. Might be a dumb question, but this isn't some sort of spin-off is it?

  8. Other than Torchwood being a spin-off of Doctor Who... no.

This is just Torchwood with a season name attached to it like Torchwood: Children of Earth was last year's title. So much of the cast has died in the last season and their base was destroyed, so they are relocating to the US and adding 3 or 4 new members to the team. It almost FEELS like it will be a spin-off with so much change...
