Marisa Tomei is in talks with Aaron Sorkin and Scott Rudin to join "The Social Network" duo's HBO series, "More as the Story Develops," sources said. Tomei met with Sorkin and Rudin, as well as the pilot's director, Greg Mottola, in New York yesterday. The series will star Jeff Daniels as a cable news anchor. Rudin's team has been looking to cast the role of Daniels' female executive producer. To research the series, Sorkin spent time with anchors at MSNBC, Fox News and CNN. People close to the project say that Tomei is among those being considered for the role.Source: New York Post

That casting rumor can't hurt. Tomei can be brilliant in roles or just very good at times, but she is never bad! I don't count Untamed Heart... I blame that locally made bomb on Christian Slater....
ReplyDeleteShe was great in The Wrestler and Seinfeld.
ReplyDeleteAnd she's one of those actresses that doesn't seem to age (like Jennifer Beals of Julia Louis-Dreyfus).
This show and Veep are going to be two fantastic shows.
A new tv-show by Aaron Sorkin? Count me in.
