Fringe - Blair Brown Keen To Direct A Season 4 Episode

12 Apr 2011

Blair Brown has told CityTV that she is keen to direct an episode of Fringe next season.

"That's the plan, I've been shadowing Brad Anderson on this last episode and then I'll shadow two more directors, Joe Chapelle and Jeannot Szwarc."

She joked: "[It's] season four and it's time for some women to get in here and direct a very boy [-orientated] show that's heavy on hardware!"

She also commented on the show in terms of writing:

"I'm the kind of actor that just thinks, 'You guys do it. Jeff Pinker and Joel Wyman have a plan for us. They have a plan for eight years and we want to be here for all that time."

  1. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY!
Someone, how can I change my Blue-SpoilerTV for a Black-SpoilerTV?

  2. I think it's a great idea. But she wouldn't be the first female director. Gwyneth Horder-Payton directed 'The Equation' but in true female stereotyping she was given an episode with a child as the focus of the story to direct.

  5. Wonderful , as long as she is not agreeing to make Peter and Olivia as brother and sister :)

  8. Because in her most recent interview she said that she would like for it to be revealed in some future episode that Nina was peter and olivia's mother. She was joking, however ;0)

  9. Well yes BUT...it is not her decision to make...and neither the director has this kind of power. In a TV show these decisions depends on the story created by writers. So it is up to them not up to director. Get it?

  10. :)

Because as a director , sometimes the director may not agree on something , he/she can interfere on something ... or even refuse to do it .

    Some kickass director :)
