As the deadline grows closer for the cancellation of my favorite daytime TV show draws nearer I have to voice my opinion on ABC's choice of replacement programs. If I really wanted to watch more cooking shows I would just turn to the Food network. I really don't want to see shows similar to the View either. I have watched All My Children since its unoriginal airing some forty years ago. I was home on a school holiday and my mother tuned in to see what it was all about. I was twelve years old and fell madly in love with the show because it felt like family life in a small town. I loved Grandma Kate she reminded me of my own grandmother.
I continue to record All MY Children and One Life To Live and watch them in the evening. I hate General Hospital; once upon a time it was drama and comedy. Remember Lucile March the spinster busy body nurse on the seventh floor? If I want Mob stories I can watch reruns of the Soprano's.
I will continue to watch ny two shows on ABC until they go off the air. But I do not and will not watch anything ever again on ABC; I like Castle and the new war time medical drama looks interesting but I am not going to watch it. Nor will ABC Family come into my home ever again.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
*shocked face*
ReplyDeleteThe American soap opera will be completely extinct soon enough. I suggest you learn Spanish and find yourself a telenovela.
ReplyDeleteThat format would probably work very well for American Television. Its been the same for over 50 years. It's time for an overhaul.
ReplyDeleteA great one is Amor Real. seriously. we watched it in spanish class and it is sooo corny but really entertaining haha
ReplyDeleteWho watches soaps anymore? Half the episodes are filler with only a few turning point episodes. I jumped off that train years ago.
