SupernaturalThanks to www.mycoven.com for the heads up on this info from andreas@LJ
Episode 6.17 - My Heart Will Go On
Episode 6.18 - Frontierland
Episode 6.19 - Mommy Dearest
Episode 6.20 - The Man Who Would Be King
Episode 6.21 - Let It Bleed (aka The Haunter of the Dark)
Episode 6.22 - The Man Who Knew Too Much

I think that the title of 6.22 refers to Sam and to what's hidden behind the wall in his head.
ReplyDeleteI don't know which one freaks me out more..Let It Bleed or The Man Who Knew Too Much..
ReplyDeleteAlso,I just realized that we have only 6 episodes left... :' (
yep lol, agree
ReplyDeleteSO canNOT wait for Ben,s the man who would be king OMG!
ReplyDeletenice shout out to Hitchcock, Kipling and the Stones!
ReplyDeleteLoving these names!
:P Look like my theory I posted earlier is right.....Sam-thing know things, told by Samuel, that will help fight the Mother....so we'll need to take the wall down in order to fight the Mother
ReplyDeleteoh my god i'm so exited but i don't want this season to end
ReplyDeleteOh God.
ReplyDeleteThe hunter of the dark title tied with the dean centric is interesting. I had figured that to refer to the robosam persona. No idea what that could mean now.
ReplyDeleteMe too. We're way overdue for a strong cas episode. I want to know what he knows.
ReplyDeleteits getting closer and closer to the worst part of the year!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the title for 6.22: nice Hitchcock reference, plus a nice allusion to the wall we all know is crashing down in Sam's head in that ep.
ReplyDeleteSo, seems like Let It Bleed will be the only Dean-centric episode in the second half of season 6, which makes me miss season 2 where we had 5-6 Dean-centric episodes in half the season.
ReplyDeleteThere were quite a few Dean-centric episodes in the first half of Season 6, so it shouldn't really matter if there have only been two in the second half (Mannequin 3, was the first one in the second half). Sam hasn't had that many centrics either this season. It seems that the only so far has been Unforgiven because Sam spent the first half of the season as "not-Sam."
ReplyDeleteMy guess is this episode will have something to do with the whole 'it's about the souls' part of the mythology/mystery.
ReplyDeleteWe know Lisa and Ben will be involved somehow, there will be closure on that storyline and it's going to be heart breaking/there will be crying.
This may also be the episode where Walt and Roy get what's been coming to them since 'Dark Side' as hinted at by JA.
Even Jensen commented on how Dean heavy the first half of the season, so much so that he asked for a lighter load in the second half of the season (no that you can actually tell since he has been just as much involved as Sam/Jared so far).
ReplyDeleteThe last three episodes of the seasons should be interesting, considering the titles alone and I guess we can speculate about the plot just based on that.
ReplyDeleteThe Man Who Would Be King - Cas-centric episode and cool Sean Connery and Michael Caine movie/ Kipling story. I'm not sure who the title refers to, Castiel, Crowley, or both. I'm thinking that it is both right now.. two lower level guys con their way to the top and then the ruse comes crashing down around them. The only caveat is that Castiel doesn't want to be in charge of Heaven for his own selfish purposes; he genuinely thinks he is doing the right thing. Crowley, on the other hand, would take over Hell because it suits Crowley's interests.
Let It Bleed: Dean-centric and Rolling Stones title. Considering the album focuses on the disillusionment associated with the late sixties, I'm thinking that it is all about Dean, Lisa, Ben, as well as perhaps Dean's disillusionment with hunting. This is basically your Dean angst, self-hate, and driven to suicide episode for Season 6. I also think that Lisa and Ben end up dead.
Man Who Knew Too Much: Sam-centric and Hitchcock title. This has to discuss the wall of Sam coming down. Also, interesting to note that in the Hitchcock movie, the Jimmy Stewart character, "The Man who Knew Too Much," gets caught up in the intrigue by accident. Perhaps Sam knows something or there is something hidden behind the wall by Death that the monsters want.
thank you, excellent title and speculative analysis- should make for a very interesting seasons end.
ReplyDeleteKripke said that episode 21 and 22 would deal with different parts of the seasons mythology.
-I think the Dean centric episode deals with the mystery of the souls/natural order arc-which is why I'm inclined to believe Lisa and Ben will die.
-The Sam centric episode will deal with the Mother Of All arc-since we have been told Sam and Dean face off against the Mother.
-Naturally episode 20 will deal with the angel arc since it is Cas centric
I assume all arcs will bleed into each other since we know all the mysteries are interconnected but will be largely dealt with in their respective episodes. Everything that happens in each episode will be just as important to the story and impact all characters.
i think so too^^ hmm poor sam :(
ReplyDeleteThe second half looks refreshingly balanced. Two Dean centrics (mannequin and bleed), two Sam centrics (unforgiven and man who knew too much) and one Cas centric (two kings).
ReplyDeleteMy money's on the two kings being two men competing to be king of hell (crowley and robosam), and cas being caught in the middle. The king of heaven is god, and I don't think cas wants to be the ruler of angels.
ReplyDeleteOh whatever. I miss when I was ignorant of people that bitched about Sam or Dean-centric episodes.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the 'King' reference is about an actual king, it's more like a metaphor for the guy/angel/demon/whatever who gets the prize. The 'winner takes all' and it seems to me that both Cas and Crowley had their own agendas or maybe even a dual/joint agenda and were willing to do 'questionable' things to achieve their goals. Cas has already admitted to doing questionable things so an alliance with Crowley doesn't seem that inconceivable nor does him and Crowley then bring Sam back soulless to serve their own purpose(s).
ReplyDeleteI highly doubt Cas is innocent in all this or 'caught in the middle' as you so put it-or he wouldn't have done things he's not proud of and he would not be 'in over his head' as the writers have said he is/will be shown to be. Personally I think Cas has been a naughty boy and gotten himself in trouble. His intentions may have been true but his methods not so much.
One person bitched, the rest have been discussions trying to link the episodes with the story-lines/each character with their part in the story/how that part of the story impacts them.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH !!!! I have a major crush on the last two titles !
ReplyDeleteJust because Dean had a few scenes with Lisa/Ben doesn't make Mannequin 3 a Dean-centric episode. I think it's quite balanced since Sam worked the case pretty much on his own and had more screen time than Dean.
ReplyDeleteI didn't mean to imply cas was innocent, but I think robosam was also equally tied to whatever the mystery is with cas and crowley. There was too much suspicious behavior by robosam in caged heat. I also want to know why robosam was so insistent about working for crowley, and why he personally (not Samuel) was motivated to catch alphas, so much so that he would grin when dean was turned by the vamp.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for the next 6 episodes, you have no idea.
ReplyDeleteActually, I'm pretty sure you all do, but whatever.
So torn......hurry up April 15th versus only 6 episodes left........
ReplyDeleteAnd those episodes are going to be one hell of a bumpy ride - don't know whether to rejoice or bawl my eyes out.......
:( :) :'( >:( :D .....etc........
What this show does to me...........
I'm used to 8 month hiatuses for my previous two obsessions (lost and 24), so I'm thinking 3 months - piece of cake! I'm bummed that rubicon won't be back to distract me though, but I'm getting off topic. The last two episodes scare me a little. I think sera and kripke are going to do very bad things to our boys.
ReplyDeleteWriten by Ben, directed by ben, AND ABOUT CASTIEL! I can't ask for more :DDD (cause writen and directed by eric about castiel = he will die lol SO yeah BEN is good hahah)
ReplyDeleteindeed. I'd also like to know what RoboSam meant when he told Cas 'you owe me'
ReplyDeleteYou might be the only fan ever to deem Mannequin Sam centric.
ReplyDeleteMannequin 3 is a Sam-centric episode. No question about it.
ReplyDeletetrying to respond but I'm laughing too hard ... maybe I better not respond
ReplyDeleteNice references. I like Let it Bleed but also The Haunter of The Dark, not sure which one I want it to be. I agree with the other people that "The Man Who Knew Too Much" is about Sam.
ReplyDelete:P Like I said last week,I said that the reason why the wall will break down, I think it will be cause they'll need some information that Sam-thing had and that will help fight the Mother. The title look like I was maybe right
ReplyDeleteWith Lost they'd always run a centric on the episode they'd kill off a character, so I've become conditioned to get nervous when I hear of a centric for an endangered character. I keep telling myself, this is a different show.
ReplyDeleteLOL yeah when I heard the news about two big death in the finale I was scared for Cas (cause there isnt so many caracters in the show DUH) and then I heard about this ep and I kinda freaked out LOL!
ReplyDeleteStupid lost! Maybe that's where I get it from too ahaha
so few episodes to come...sad to see that's the end coming....but so happy to see an episode only for castiel character...better soon than never...so few cass this year...i hope to see him face to face with dean and relate his past and the reason of all this secrets...like a friend to another friend...ohhhhh that will be great but i think only a dream
ReplyDeletei hope too that the poor sam will be saved and dean too..
i hope that cass survive
but we know that's nothing really matter like we want in spn show....
