Today's Question of the Day comes from Michelle who asks
"What are your Top 3 Shows in the last 10 Years"
Well this took quite a bit of thinking about to come up with my Top 3. No.1 if you have been reading this column for a while will know that LOST is my absolute number 1 show, so that's a given :)
As for spots 2 and 3. That was hard.
I finally went with Dexter for number 2 and The Wire for number 3.
Others in the running were Fringe, Alias, Mad Men, The Sopranos,Curb Your Enthusiasm and 24.
So what about you. What are your TOP 3 in order? Sound off in the Comments.
And please keep submitting your Questions of the Day Below using the form.
You can see previous Questions of the Day here.

Supernatural, Doctor Who, Heroes
ReplyDeleteHouse, Lie To Me, Flash Forward.
ReplyDeleteLost, Bones, Grey's Anatomy.
ReplyDeleteHow I miss FlashForward :(
ReplyDelete24, CSI, House
ReplyDeleteGood choice with Lost as number 1 :)
ReplyDeleteGrey's, Gilmore Girls, Castle
ReplyDeleteHeroes season 1 would have been up there, but the later seasons disappointed me :(
ReplyDeletewest wing
ReplyDeleteFringe , Burn Notice , Community
ReplyDeleteNo 1. BONES
ReplyDeleteNo 2. Fringe
No 3. Grey's Anatomy
Lost,Fringe,V
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, me too :(
ReplyDeleteThat's hard to choose, for a series addict like me lol
ReplyDeleteNumber one... FRINGE
Number two ... LOST
Number three ... FLASHFORWARD
1. Lost
ReplyDelete2. Fringe
3. How I Met Your Mother
Stargate - Firefly - Fringe
ReplyDeleteAlso up there are: Grey's Anatomy, Alias, V, Sanctuary, Buffy.
Lost and The Sopranos sprang to mind immediately, but the #3 spot took some reflection. I can tell you that my current favorites are Fringe, Raising Hope, Community and Parks and Recreation, but if we're talking about taking the entire last 10 years into consideration I will have to admit (blushing)--Dancing With The Stars.I'm not going to try to argue for its quality, but did DWTS have me HOOKED? Oh yeah, it did. I would wait all day for that show to come on, and then worry that my favorite might get voted off. A sad, sad addiction, but I'm over it now. I hope.
ReplyDeleteyeah i know what you mean... i have to admit in the last 10 yrs...i had a Charmed phase. (blushing) lol
ReplyDelete1: Gilmore Girls 2: Big Bang Theory 3: The Vampire Diaries
ReplyDelete1. FRINGE
ReplyDelete2. lost
3. Smallville
1 - Grey's
ReplyDelete2 - Lost
3 - Six Feet Under
Honourable Mention -- Big Love
No 1. LOST
ReplyDeleteNo 2. Fringe
No 3. Supernatural
1.SUPERNATURAL
ReplyDelete2.BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER
3.THE SIMPSONS
So easy...
ReplyDelete1.Supernatural
2.Numb3rs
3.Alias
Mad Men and Lost are my two favorite shows ever. Not far behind those two are shows like The Wire, The Sopranos, Deadwood and Breaking Bad on the drama side, and Curb Your Enthusiasm, Freaks & Geeks, Arrested Development and Community on the comedy/dramedy side.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna twist the question, which is too hard to answer to otherwise.
ReplyDeleteI'll say the 3 shows that are the most representative of the past 10 years on networks imo.
And that would be 24, Lost and Arrested Development. All three took their respective gender and network television to whole new areas and broke many rules. I agree CSI is very representative of our times and shows a certain evolution of television too, but that's not nearly as ambitious and as good as the three shows I mentionned.
Gilmore Girls, 30 Rock, Lie To Me.
ReplyDeleteLost, 24 and Dexter. I could swap the two last ones, because even as I love 24 very much Dexter has always been consistently good whereas 24 had it's up and downs, and finished in a very low note.
ReplyDeleteI'm leaving out Supernatural, House, Grey's Anatomy, The Big Bang Theory and many more out.
I don't really miss it, but I think that they could've given it a chance, it was a good show. The Event doesn't come even close as a replacement.
ReplyDeleteWhat I really miss is Lost :'(
1 The Vampire Diaries
ReplyDelete2 Fringe
3 Grey's Anatomy
Lost Dexter Scrubs
ReplyDelete1. Buffy
ReplyDelete2. Lost (even though I'm still bitter about how the story didn't come together in the end)
3. 24
(would put Supernatural as #4)
Wow, only having 3 choices is difficult!
ReplyDelete3 Dramas:
1. LOST
2. Defying Gravity
3. Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Angel
But also Torchwood COE and Doctor Who and Heroes S1 and The Wire and Fringe and ST:V and Quantum Leap and ST:DS9 and Dexter and Breaking Bad and so many more!
3 Sitcoms:
1. Arrested Development
2. Cougar Town
3. MASH
But also How I Met Your Mother and Better Off Ted and Community and Friends and way too many more.
Bah, I clearly have very little in the way of discerning taste when it comes to television. I know my favourites, but I don't know that I actively dislike anything. I think V has terrible writing, but I still watch for the plot. I think that The Event is serialization at its worst, but I can't stop watching! I think that The Middle (though charming) is woefully predictable, but it's still a fun watch!
I guess that I can't deal with shows that have no hook other than "Attractive People, Real Drama, Sexy Times, Coming of Age!" like 90210 or Gossip Girl or Degrassi, but that's because I could be off coming of age elsewhere instead of watching people with flawless skin do it in my stead :P.
Good call! I absolutely loathed 24, but you're absolutely right about those 3 shows being representative of the best of television creativity in the last 10 years.
ReplyDeleteTrue blood, Alias, Lost and Flashforward.
ReplyDeleteFringe is on top of this list. This is really great and amazing show. Very talented cast and writers make this show number one. The next one is Castle. This show has good humor and very interesting detective stories. Also there is a very good actors which work is great. I love everyone in this show. And number three is Supernatural. I know know that there are a lot of other good shows like House and Lie 2 Me but Fringe, Castle and Supernatural are in top.
ReplyDeleteDOCTOR WHO
ReplyDeleteMISFITS
THE SOPRANOS
1. Battlestar Galactica!!!!!!
ReplyDelete2. House
3. LOST
1. Lost
ReplyDelete2. True Blood
3. Justified
Would have liked to put Fringe on the list as well.
Supernatural, Being Human (UK) and Buffy
ReplyDeleteNot so crazy about Flashforward, but the other 3 shows are awesome choices.
ReplyDelete1. Supernatural
ReplyDelete2. 24
3. Buffy
Others: Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, Fringe, Lost, ...
Wow, how to choose. if I simply chose those i was the most obsessed with it would have to be
ReplyDeleteCastle, Bones and Gilmore Girls
In the running would have been Smallville, Chuck, Lost, Alias and Fringe, I can not believe how much time i spent running after spoilers for these shows. Especially when I lived in South Africa and was several seasons behind.
Stargate sg1, supernatural, heroes and many many more
ReplyDelete1) Battlestar Galactica
ReplyDelete2 ) X-Files
3) House MD
1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
ReplyDelete2. Lost
3. Damages
Gilmore Girls, Wonderfalls, Judging Amy
ReplyDeleteOh crap, perhaps The West Wing is number three and Judging Amy is four?
ReplyDeleteBuffy, BSG, Angel
ReplyDeleteAngel, Bones, Glee
ReplyDeleteSupernatural, Alias, NCIS
ReplyDeleteSupernatural, Fringe, Veronica Mars.
ReplyDeleteThe other contenders: Damages, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Lost, Arrested Development, The Good Wife.
FRINGE... PUSHING DAISIES ...BBC BEING HUMAN
ReplyDeleteYep, I agree with you, but I think a second season would have been great, because IMO there was still suspense !
ReplyDeleteI miss LOST really much too, there are still a lot of questions without any answer...
Actually, I had a lot of prejudice about that show, I started to watch ( and to love ) LOST only last year, and I watched all the seasons in about 2 months lol I really miss it now too ... :(
But that's not too bad not to explain all the facts in a show, that keeps mystery ( I'm talking about LOST ;) )
Lost, Grey's Anatomy, How I met Your Mother - in no particular order.
ReplyDeleteBut there are more great shows.
Gilmore Girls
ReplyDeleteThe Office
House/Smallville
House, Lie to Me, Stargate series
ReplyDeleteBurn Notice
ReplyDeleteUgly Betty
NCIS
1.Lost
ReplyDelete2.Lost
3.Lost

ReplyDeleteHonorable mentions (since you had to limit at 3, boo).
Warehouse 13, Doctor Who, Torchwood, In Plain Sight, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World.
Like it says above ^ LOST, Fringe and The X-Files.
ReplyDeleteOK for real now...
ReplyDeleteFor me this is tough.. .comparing sitcoms to hour-long dramas to hour-long comedy/dramas.... so I broke it into three categories...If I had to choose a top 3 overall... assume each "number 1." is on my list in respective order... Drama, Sitcom, Comedy/Drama....
Drama
1 .Lost
2 .Breaking Bad
3. The Wire
Sitcom
1. Arrested Development
2 .The Big Bang Theory
3. Party Down
Comedy/ Drama
1. Boston Legal
2. Veronica Mars
3. Burn Notice
Honorable mention to:
The Wire, Carnivale, Rome, Deadwood,Sons of Anarchy,Wire in the Blood... etc
In early years it was;
ReplyDelete24
Heroes
NCIS
Then
24
Heroes
Chuck
Angel
Now?
Chuck
White Collar
Lost
Future
The 4400
Prison Break
we'll see where it goes then. :)
LOST ; Supernatural ; Fringe
ReplyDeletecurrently watching season 3 of Lost now and I'm already heartbroken I'm nearly done. :'(
ReplyDeleteLost, Friday Night Lights, The Wire
ReplyDeleteClose calls
Friends, The OC, Breaking Bad, Two and Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs
Looking good, I think in the drama section I'd have to go with:
ReplyDelete1. Lost
2. Breaking Bad
3. Rome
The Wire came close, but I kind of didn't want to name another drug related show. Other honorable mentions: The X-Files, Oz, Band of Brothers, Spawn
Sitcom/comedy section:
1. South Park
2. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
3. Coupling (UK)
Honorable mentions: Futurama, Community, (early) Simpsons, Scrubs, (first 2 seasons of) Caroline In The City
That's easy. I've only really watched 3 shows.
ReplyDeleteThe X-Files
Star Trek Enterprise
Fringe
Damages #1
ReplyDeleteGlee #2
Lost #3 no show made me sob more times than i can count
My number one is easy: 'Supernatural'. After that...hmmm...think I'd probably go for 'Fringe' after that. After that, I think I would have to go for 'Friends', what a show. Honorable mentions going out to 'White Collar', 'NCIS', 'Criminal Minds' and 'Bones'.
ReplyDeleteFriday Night Lights, Buffy, Lost
ReplyDeleteLoved the first two seasons of The 4400, but it lost something to me after that.... Overall still a fun series though!
ReplyDeleteLost, Dexter, Six Feet Under
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way about putting The Wire in my list... I considered putting Game of Thrones there. In the end I decided it was a bit presumptuous....
ReplyDeleteI forgot to put BSG in my honorable mentions... GREAT series!
ReplyDeleteBONES
ReplyDeleteANGEL
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER
1 West Wing
ReplyDelete2 The Shield
3 The L Word
My top three are 1. Supernatural
ReplyDelete2. ER
3. Third Watch
But you know, IMO that's good to watch a show when it's not broadcast anymore, like LOST or 24; because you can have all the seasons right now, I mean, you don't have to wait for months before watching next season... I'm currently watching season 2 of 24, I guess you're a fan lol ; well I started to watch 24 last month actually, I had a lot of prejudice , just like for LOST, but I wanted to know what it looked like, and I have no regret: I love those two series !! :D I watched all the seasons of LOST last summer, and I was really sad when it ended ;(
ReplyDeleteBut luckily I have FRINGE ( I watch since the beginning and I have to wait every week :P ) and 24 of course :D
You're a maniac... But I get it, April 17th can't arrive soon enough.
ReplyDeleteThe Sopranos
ReplyDeleteDexter
Fringe
I'll add on a "like" for the West Wing shout-out.
ReplyDeleteAw, damn. I forgot about Buffy. I loved that show.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, the other were horrible!
ReplyDelete1. Supernatural <3
ReplyDelete2. The OC
3. Friends

1. Gilmore Girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete2. X-Files
3. 30 Rock
4. Pretender
also: NCIS, One Tree Hill (earlier seasons), Emergency Room, Six Feet Under, Brother&Sisters, Parenthood, Grey's Anatomy
I love how many people mention the Gilmore Girls! They were truely great!
Buffy, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries
ReplyDeleteYeah I don't think they'll ever come up with something as epic as those shows have ever again. Good luck if they do. Lost, 24 Carnivale, Rome ect. are in a league of their own. :)
ReplyDeleteCarnivale was amazing when I saw it.
ReplyDeleteWondering about Fringe and Prison Break next. :P
#1: Supernatural , #2: X-Files , #3: Star Trek . : ))
ReplyDeleteSupernatural, Army Wives, Hawaii Five-0!
ReplyDeleteGod, that was hard to choose!
1. FrIends
ReplyDelete2. The O.C.
3. How I Met Your Mother
By "Star Trek" you mean Enterprise, right? Cuz Star Trek has been off the air for decades.
ReplyDelete1) The Vampire Diaries
ReplyDelete2) Supernatural
3) Glee
honorable mentions: Chuck, Charmed
It's a conundrum for me, but not for the reasons everyone else has said. My problem is the X-Files. The X-Files aired from 1993-2002, so it fits within the 10 year limit. However, I only liked the X-Files in the 1990's and found the last 2 years particularly terrible, so by only including 2001-2002 it wouldn't be anywhere near my top 15, much less 3. In a lesser way, the same goes for Buffy, which was stellar in the 90's but took a downward plunge with the introduction of Dawn and chipped, emo Spike. The 10 year qualifier really sucks. So...
ReplyDeleteIf including all years of a show, then Supernatural, Buffy, and The X-Files.
If including only the last 10 years, then Supernatural, Burn Notice, and Cold Case.
Honorable mentions - White Collar, Sliders (again only the seasons w/ Arturo), Stargate SG-1, Bones, NCIS, Roswell (first 2 seasons), Everwood (first 2 seasons), La Femme Nikita
1. Lost
ReplyDelete2. Fringe
3. Dexter
(Honorable Mention) Criminal Minds
Oh this is easy...FINALLY.....a question that my brain can stay out of :D
ReplyDelete1) X-FILES
2) LOST
3) SUPERNATURAL
HONOURABLE MENTIONS: legend of the seeker (cries) , Buffy, 24, Friends, Doctor who
<33
1. Fringe
ReplyDelete2. 24
3. Criminal Minds (until this season anyway...)
Honorable Mention: CSI
no. 1 is easy: SUPERNATURAL!!!
ReplyDelete2 and 3 is hard
i'm gonna go with 2. NCIS (but only up until season 5, after that its no longer my fave)
and 3. lost
honorable mentions: psych, first season of heroes, vampire diaries
Gosh...
ReplyDeleteDrama: House M.D. Got me into watching dramas. This may become The Good Wife but it's still new enough that I can't really hand over the crown.
Comedy: Will & Grace
Sci-Fi: Stargate SG-1 has had a place in my heart since I was 5 so it'd have to be that. But I can't go without mentioning Battlestar Galactica, which in this scenario is, more or less, my "grown-up" sci-fi, I guess.
1. Arrested Development
ReplyDelete2. Breaking Bad
3. Lost
Scrubs, TSSM & Stargate Atlantis
ReplyDeletethose long waits between seasons were torture! Lost-anxiety led me to read spoilers in the first place.
ReplyDelete1-Lost
ReplyDelete2-Fringe
3-Prison Break
NCIS, House, CSI
ReplyDeleteYep, I agree with you, I don't know how they could imagine something better than FRINGE or than LOST or than 24 ... :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, yep that's awful to wait between seasons, but I didn't have to wait to see LOST, I was lucky :P and same for 24 !! But for FRINGE, I have to wait every week to see the new episode :S and I read all the spoilers too lol
ReplyDeleteMe too I was a late bloomer!! And then I got so hooked I watched in a span of two montha. There are alot of unanswered questions. So theres alot of mystery. I was so sad when it ended and also the way it ended. That means there really cant be another season. No series iv watched has ever gripped me the way lost has :-(
ReplyDeleteI miss Jack, Sawyer, Kate even the others
I became so obsessed with lost, I googled all the characters, read the synopsis, everything. Lost is an epic series. Everytime I watched a new episode my hair on my arms would stand up. Its awesome!!
ReplyDeleteLost and the Sopranos also came up for me, however everybody got me wondering about Fringe and 24 ??? I think I need to watch it..I cant wait
ReplyDeleteI almost forgot about Charmed!! Before lost was out charmed had me one up and Buffy the vampire slayer
ReplyDeleteLost, Supranos and arrested developement
ReplyDeleteI also didnt like the way it (lost) ended, so many unanswered questions...:-(
ReplyDeleteBoston legal was hilarious
ReplyDeleteanybody remember Alley Mcbeal? I thought the show was funny
ReplyDeleteBattlestar Galactica, Doctor Who, the Tudors
ReplyDeleteSerious answer this time:
ReplyDeleteLost
Sopranos
The Wire
So hard...
ReplyDelete1. NCIS
2. Glee
3. Numb3rs
Criminal Minds, CSI, Bones, Castle, White Collar and CSI NY all have a vote also. As does friends. I loved lost until the final couple of seasons, and the ending was just unsolved to me.
I miss them too, and the way the last season ended disappointed me a lot but I think the scriptwriters wanted to keep some mystery, but I don't think that the fans like that mystery too much... IMO there could be another season, I don't know why they ended the show ... :S
ReplyDelete1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
ReplyDelete2. Farscape
3. Charmed / The X-Files / Stargate and many more
Lost, Doctor Who, Mythbusters
ReplyDeleteSupernatural. The Wire and Veronica Mars
ReplyDeletewww.youtube.com/watch?v=T0CxDlMkOJg
ReplyDeleteThe X Files, Lost and The West wing, hands down!

ReplyDelete1. Supernatural
ReplyDelete2. The West Wing
3. The Tudors
I would also have included Friends, Buffy, E.R. Charmed, Jericho, Big Love, Smallville, Law and Order SVU, The X-Files and The Event.
1 SUPERNATURAL
ReplyDelete2 THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
3 TRUE BLOOD
1 SUPERNATURAL
ReplyDelete2 THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
3 TRUE BLOOD
Firefly, Fringe, Sopranos.
ReplyDeleteI realize Firefly wasn't in the past 10 years. But I'm still in love with it.:D
ReplyDeleteSupernatural, Stargate: Atlantis and White Collar.
ReplyDelete1. Firefly
ReplyDelete2. Firefly
3. Firefly
Serious:

Humor:
How i met your mother
Scrubs
Blue Mountain State
Fringe, X Files, Grey's anatomy until George died
ReplyDeleteYes. : )
ReplyDelete1. Band of Brothers
ReplyDelete2. The Pacific
No #3 because these two shows ruined regular tv shows for me for about 3 months, since I personally believe nothing else is really in the same league as them.
Doctor who.. I loved the new one but they only made 13 .....WTF!! What is the brit word for lazy. or rip off... that would do I would say supernaturals. season 5 was kick ass... But this mother of all crap wants me to stab my self with somthing sharp...And don't get all mad out there you Fan Boys! They jumped the shark with the whole alt, reality crap and you know it ! And to the people who worked on Heros ... If there is a whole bunch of people changing why not start with a whole new group of people insted of whatever the hell the last season was.. You could have had Hero wander the time streem like qui gin jen from Kung fu ........ // Hold on I can't diss that that would have been kinda cool !!! Well I still love Myth busters.. It's fun the girl is hot so yea thats my number 2.. Let me see Grey's Anatomy ... Were are they going .... THe next season Meredith get's herpies for going around the block one to many times, and every time i see it I think ....GOD I MISS SCRUBS !!! And there it is number 3 .. But now with shows like Being Human and The Cape Makes me want to beet the hell out of my cable guy with a hammer. At least we still have Eureka ..... Burn notice .... Psych ...Fringe... House...Lie to me.... He might live another day .. And I won't halft to through my back out digging a hole in my back yard. All the while I'me telling my kid if he keeps his mouth shut I will buy hem a mustang when he is 16....
ReplyDeleteThese are the shows that come to mind when I think about how good I felt watching them:
ReplyDelete1. The Practice (You actually needed to think when watching this paralegal drama in contrast to 99% of what's currently on television)
2. Boston Legal (Its spin-off)
3. Prison Break (Very original storyline)
Lost is worth noting. I'd weigh it closely with Prison Break. It was an enjoyable show the first season and a half, then it (lost) its way for the remainder of the series until the final half of the last season/series. Good ending.
This question is really easy
ReplyDelete#1 Supernatural all the way. #2 Stargate SSG-1 #3 Smallville
Lost
ReplyDeleteCommunity

ReplyDeleteLost, CSI, Grey's.
ReplyDelete1. 24
ReplyDelete2. Lost
3. The Shield
Late Lost bloomer here, too. I loved how they ended it but confess it confused me at first. I've rewatched the entire show a couple of times and I check blogs so that I understand more and more. I don't know any other show that has people even more obsessed once it has ended than when it aired.
ReplyDeleteI was really confused too when I saw the finale of the show, but, like you, I read some explaination on blogs ^^ But I think the scriptwriters want us to imagine, that's why they let mystery, they want the fans to think about LOST again and again lol And I gotta say that I often think about LOST, I imagine many things, I understand others ... ;)
ReplyDeleteThose writers, God bless them. They did a terrific job in getting us to think.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, they're geniuses :D
ReplyDeleteGlee, Desperate Housewives, Lost. Fringe would be 4th then, along with OTH.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural, Friday Night Lights, Spartacus
ReplyDeleteSupernatural, Friday Night Lights, Spartacus
ReplyDelete1) LOST
ReplyDelete2) Fringe
3) Glee
I LOVE all of these shows bc they all have some sort of story line, even though each episode is its own and has some sort of message. I started LOST two years ago, and could not stop watching it!! Its soo tempting to have the next one there and ready for you to watch it after the last one always ends so suddenly. Every character, every plot twist, and every scene I had an unending love for. I actually LOVED the ending and how the alternate universe was really purgatory or something like it. The scene where all of the main characters were reunited in the church was awesome and sad at the same time... I started Fringe late last year and am currently in the middle of the second season. I heard that the current season (3) is amazing, so i cant wait to get to get to it!! And then Glee i started watching this season, and watched the whole first season in less than 3 days. Love the characters, story lines, actors, and songs!!! So yea, thats my two cents.
V really is awesome. I don't think too many people are giving it a chance, though.
ReplyDeleteV is awesome, but I don't think too many people are giving it a chance..
ReplyDeletePerhaps the easiest question I've ever encountered.
ReplyDelete1. The Wire (The greatest series in U.S. television history).
2. Breaking Bad (Probably the second-greatest series in U.S. television history).
3. Deadwood (The greatest Western in television history).
Certainly there have plenty of other extraordinary shows over the last decade -- among them Mad Men, The Office, Dead Like Me (Doesn't ANYONE remember this brilliant show?), Dexter, Lost, The Good Wife, The Walking Dead, and not least the wonderful, heartbreakingly short-lived Rubicon. I regard this ongoing era the true Golden Age of television, much more so than the overhyped 1950s.
Lauded shows I DON'T venerate include Six Feet Under (A host of repellent lead characters), Curb Your Enthusiasm (Its "humor" is shudderingly brutal), and 30 Rock (This snarky, insufferably smug in-house concoction drowned ages ago in self-congratulatory ooze).
Chris Potter

After "Arrested Development," I cannot watch a TV show with a laugh track--simply can't; will walk out of the room if needed.
ReplyDelete"An Idiot Abroad" is hilarious! Wish there were more episodes! Too bad there were only seven Wonders of the World for Karl to visit. Couldn't our ancestors have predicted the need to build more Wonders and obliged us?

ReplyDeleteSons of Anarchy (though still new, it's awesome), Nip/Tuck, Weeds
ReplyDeleteActually 13 episodes per series is average for BBC shows.
ReplyDeleteAnd slowly becoming the norm for U.S. Sci-Fi shows as well [Eureka (Series 1&2),Warehouse 13,Alphas,Being Human,Haven].
Personally I like the concept of 13 episodes per series short concise episodes-not a lot of filler episodes and a tighter more concise run.

ReplyDelete
