Really liked the last 5 minutes! The bartender telling House to find something new to love. House turned around right there. I missed the old House. Not sure about the Vicodin, but I like the little kid in a grown man's body and a genius mind.
Having it in the ad was a bit of a tease, but that's what ads do. Although, within the episode, the dramatic set up wasn't just intended to fool you, it showed an obviously depressed House and his recklessness in seeking greater thrills as a distraction.
I like it to some extent, but I'm afraid it's going to get old rather quickly. For now though, it's working. I'd much rather see him responding like this and being childish and petty than see him sulk around for the rest of the season.
Agreed. The writers seemed to really struggle with how to write House and Cuddy as a couple, but boy, they sure can write the angst. I was dreading this episode but I really enjoyed it. Next week's looks interesting.
Ok, I'm a Huddy, but have to admit that this episode was awesome, one of the best of the season. And, although, I'm not gonna stop being a Huddy, I'm starting to think that things turned out to be better this way, maybe with them apart we'll have much more fun and their interaction will much more interesting.
One thing though, really scared for next week. I want extreme, but maybe not that much.
Ok it was a great step. Admitting that maybe Huddy was a difficult story to built and keep them together. The most important thing for was the music at the end. For the first time they selected a song performed by Peter Gabriel. It's not one of his songs. "My body is a cage" (Arcade Fire) is part of project (Scratch my back) in wich Peter Gabriel sings covers of other artist. The second part of the project (I'll scratch yours) will be an album with artists performing Peter Gabriel songs. The lyrics were well chosen. I really appreciated this end with the feeling House was back to life. N ot an easy one, but back on tracks like James said.
I definitely enjoy the second half of the season much much more than the first half. Thought this was a very good episode, I love the direction the writers are taking here.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
That was definitely one of the best of season 6.
