  1. AMAZING. Lots of easter eggs, amazing acting, great guest star...what more could you ask for?! Anna Torv killed it once again. Watching the brief transition from Bell to Olivia was fantastic. Loved the dynamics between Walter and Bell. Bell hitting on Astrid was too funny! I'm really hoping Lincoln gets a transfer up to Boston, because I would love to see him stick around.

  2. I really enjoyed it, as well. There were definitely a lot of parallels and easter eggs to sift through. And poor Olivia completely unaware of what Bell has done to her. And her being scared for these 2 seconds when she slipped out. Bell needs to get out of her in the ep after next since next week is a There ep. And is it just me or are we wondering how altOlivia hasn't miscarried yet? A normal human travelling across dimensions...then there was her fall from a great height and now this...at 11 weeks, how does she expect her fetus to be healthy and survive?

  3. Great ideas, poor writing (specifically the research). I'd vote somewhere in-between OK and Great if is was possible.

  4. OMG can #Fringe get any better than it already is? EVERY week we have AMAZING stories...BRILLIANT acting. #Fringe is truely the MOST UNDER RATED show on television. A truely UNIQUE and PRECIOUS gem! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!

  5. This episode was brilliant in so many ways. It flawlessly melded humour and drama - one minute it had the audience laughing and giggling at William Bell hitting on Astrid (while in Olivia's body) and the next you are completely caught up in how miserable Peter is without Olivia or how desperate Dana Gray was. It took a typical SciFi storyline and flipped it on its head and made it its own. Once again, the entire cast and crew of Fringe has blown it out of the water. They continue to push the boundaries and continue to succeed flawlessly. The actors, the writers - everyone works so hard and does such an amazing and talented job with this show. It is absolutely amazing what they do with this show.

  6. Am I the only one who was like "OMG! What are they doing to Fauxlivia! Don't hurt her!!"?
I was like "oh, wait... I still have feelings for Fauxlive..." O.o

  7. I think I am going to get tired of Bellivia very soon. Even if she has the cadence and intonation of Bell (Nimoy) down, the voice she uses grates on me.... as well as the Bell's humor.

I really enjoy Walter being so giddy about having his old friend (kinda sorta) back... Belliva and Walter come off as old friends reliving their childhood very convincingly. I bet the two actors had a lot of fun interacting during the filming of those scenes. Outtakes anyone?? I bet you could fill an entire blooper reel with it! I wonder if Walter has a perscription or grows his own.... two weeks in a row he is blazing.

Seeing Peter almost unable to look at Bellivia is hilarious! I don't think he likes sharing his girlfriend with William. The pronoun game is driving him nuts too! I can undersand his discomfort though... Imagine being a woman with a 70 year-old man's spirit inhabiting your body...[insert mandatory Star Trek joke here] Talk about 'going where no man has gone before'!... ya. Peter is such a good sympathetic/empathetic listener ... he really should work for a suicide hotline. OR Joshua Jackson should... he has that soothing tone in his voice.

Anyone think Peter is going to have some "intimacy" issues with Oliva after Bell leaves her body? Yikes!

Love our Lincoln Lee (hereafter referred to as O'Lee)! Still ever the clever agent despite seeming to be a bureaucratic desk jockey. I think he would be a very interesting addition to the team... very interesting indeed, Although that look he gave Peer at the end had me wondering if he has ulterior motive or some larger plan we are not aware of.

I thought for a second maybe Walternate sent Lincoln Lee "over here" in an attempt to get Peter back or make Peter do something that will kick start the Machine...., but he seemed to be an established agent in the FBI and not some newcomer on the scene.

Paula Malcomson is so good at doing that layered, sublte dramatic acting. One can read so many little things on her face at the same time (panic, fear, confusion, curiousity, determination etc) and you know damned well she put them there on purpose. Dana Grey is one of the more interesting MOTW to me. A woman that cannot die chasing people who want to kill themselves or fatal accidents/explosions etc in an effort to hitchhike to Heaven so she can be reunited with her family. Original twist to the indestructible person story. Bellivia's theory at the end about her being used or guided by some unseen hand of fate.. .very intriguing!

  8. Also, this episode was written obviously for the small nuances that the writers wanted to point out...they're pointing more towards what could be "destiny"...they added a new version of Lincoln Lee (who did a great job playing a very different version of the alt Lee I am already a fan of) and William Bell STILL knows something that he has yet to spit out.

I love how this episode was rooted in the first season's finale, and JUST NOW we find out that he had soul magnets in that tea.
(And then Peter sipped some of William's tea? huh? lol)

  9. Loved the little thing they did in the episode like having Astrid notice Bellivia's leer and button her shirt all the way to the top! Attention to details makes FRINGE rock!

  10. I'm not buying the Lincoln Lee conspiracy (mostly cause Lincoln Lee is in next week's episode...I mean it could be a shapeshifter, but I don't think so...)

  11. I have the desire to vote there a lot! Ok seems to imply mediocre but Great is too strong in my mind sometimes... "Good" would be perfect though!

  12. I was practically in the floor when Astrid buttoned up her shirt. Jasika Nicole is incredible with understated humor...

  13. I dismissed it quickly too, but with FRINGE sometimes they show you a red herring to distract you and the next time they show you a red herring its a trained assassin! :)

  14. I'm going to have to watch this again. So gooooooooooooooooooood.

  15. Great episode! Anna Torv's now three characters have me actually looking at it like there three separate characters. She is a great actress! Good thing Walter didn't pass the joint to Bell in Olivia's body. Astrid would have to tell her to pray the FBI doesn't random her :)

  16. I was too. So funny. She has great chemistry with unconventional characters.

  17. Yes. And I'm very curious about that fetus. Did my eyes see right? I thought it was moving like the spawn from Aliens. Maybe she is having bugs after all.

  18. THAT's who it was. Paula Malcomson, from Lost and Deadwood. Knew I'd seen her before but couldn't place her. Very, very good.

  19. I found this episode to be very entertaining. It was only mildly MOTW; it wasn't gross (need a break from gross). Loved Lincoln looking and acting very Clark Kent. The story is quite fascinating, but still, it's about the characters (where have I heard that?). Speaking of Lost, that little Bellivia speech near the end about maybe we're here for a reason, maybe it was Dana's destiny -- is she channeling John Locke? OMG the promo for next week! What kind of baby is she having, anyway? Anna Torv doing Bell as a dirty old man was excellent!

  20. WOW another great episode! I was cracking up with the Bell moments but to be honest, I don't like Bell right now. Maybe it is because he is possessing our dear Olivia, but he is condescending, smug, cocky, selfish, etc etc. Not to mention him flirting with Astrid. Of course, it was hilarious when Astrid buttoned up her shirt but still just creeped me out as much as it creeped Astrid out. But I must say...Peter Peter Peter...defensive, annoyed, angry...all because he wanted his Olivia back...worth every moment of Bell. So cute and when Olivia broke through for 2 seconds (Bell obviously underestimated her which is surprising since he said she was the strongest one and I'm sure took that into account when giving her soul magnets) Peter's face just lit up and it made me so happy...The case was interesting. I had a hard time comprehending it for the first half of the show but then she just broke my heart and the thing that Bell said about it being her destiny was touching and also seemed to be a parallel for Peter. I assume that was Bell's intention but I have learned its never a good thing to assume when it comes to Fringe.

On to the promo...OH MY GOSH!!! I can't believe we have to wait a week and then indefinitely beyond that with the break. I honestly never thought I would say these words but here goes...POOR FAUXLIVIA! She doesn't deserve this. I don't believe she knew going in what a huge pawn she was going to be in Walternate's game. I hope she doesn't die (Another thing I never thought I would say) I was practically in tears with just a 30 second clip. I will be bawling if that promo is any indication. In "The Same Old Story" season 1, episode 2. The pregnant women who had an accelerated child who died as an old man 30 minutes later. That was the scene that immediately came to mind when I saw that clip of Fauxlivia. So that could mean two things. Either the same thing will happen to Fauxlivia and she will die during childbirth or they have perfected that technology on the other side so they could accelerate the pregnancy and Fauxlivia could still survive. Personally, I don't think Walternate would even be bothered with saving Fauxlivia but who knows...

Oh one other thing. Did anyone notice that at the end of the episode, Peter walked into the house wearing black gloves and a bag. It reminded me very forcefully of Reciprocity. Could Peter have been out killing more shapeshifters or was it completely unrelated to anything.

  21. Oh you're right...she probably would have been super jealous of Astrid LOL

  22. I don't think Lincoln is the Lincoln from over there but that doesnt necessarily mean that he doesnt have some ulterior motive. That look he gave Peter did seem to imply something more to the story.

  23. I believe that AltLivia baby is a throwback to the "Man-baby" from s01e02. But yeah i loved this episode for all the little nuances. I LOLed so hard when Astrid buttoned her shirt.

  24. I know I was thinking that too...when William asked Peter if he wanted tea, I thought for sure Peter would say hell no! I was shocked that he said yes after he knew thats what happened to Olivia. And I also love when they connect the dots seasons later. Its so awesome to think they had that in mind and are just now seeing it come to into play

  25. I don`t think they had in mind the tea with soul magnets. Maybe they had but I see it differently. I think that they needed Bell for some stories to tell but they couldn`t get Leonard Nimoy out of his retirement. So they came up with this soul magnets thing and after a few episodes voila we`ve got Bellivia.

I didn`t like that idea when I first learned about it and I still don`t like. And even the chemistry between Walter and Bell was I don`t know...not very convincing - they tried to force it so that we could get a better understanding of their previous work in a very little amount of time.

But the good thing about the episode was an the introduction of O`Lee :-D. I`d like to see him more. He could be a great part of the team and I hope that we`ll see him more often.

  26. i agree. a 1-10 scale would be awesome!

  27. Best hour of t.v. all week. I really got a laugh over Peter in the lab. at the beginning. The expressions on his face told the story of what he thinks about Bell taking over Olivia. When he was told to get the re-entry file for Bell was priceless. "You don't have to tell me twice" and taking off in next to a run gave me the best laugh of the day. Fringe is a mile above the rest.

  28. It was Ok. I thought it was very zzzzzzzzzzzzz

    Bring back Olivia.

    Please.

  29. Seein the faces of Peter in this episode I could see that he has strong feelings for Our Olivia and he was kinda devastated with the idea of Bell in her body. The happyness in her face when for that seconds Olivia got back was awesome.

  30. Well, we got our mandatory religious episode... Fortunately it wasn't too bad. Anna was great.

  31. I loved Peter in this one. That was so funny when he ran off. And the was he showed emotions without speaking could have rivaled Olivia. He showed anger, resentment, annoyance, longing, everything without needing to speak. And that wonderful moment when Olivia broke through, Peter's face lit up and immediately went dark when William came back. Oh and the cute expression he had when taking the glass of milk out of sleeping Walter's hand. It was like the look a father would give his child.

Comment from Fringetelevision.com on a review of the episode:

I don't know about your piercingly incisive commentary, but here's mine - William Bell's possession of Olivia is the ultimate form of rape. And Walter's advocacy to have Belly stay inside her(no pun intended)before Broyles intervened with an ultimatum, really disappointed me. Exactly how deep are the loyalties between Fringe characters? I wonder.

    Me:

I think that the first annonymous brings up a good point and I'm brought that he/she brought it up because it is an issue and I think that it is about time that someone thought of her and brought it out. I like that in this episode Peter was steadfast on his anger/resentment/and need to get Olivia back, how he didn't like what Bell was doing and wouldn't look him in the eye for real the whole episode, his resenment and anger was real and his not liking bell "inside" his girlfriend and loosing liv was totally understandable. It was really sad at the end when Olivia fought her way to the surface just long enough to call for help from Peter and then got sucked back it. The smile on his face in seeing her was priceless and I hope that they can saver her soon!!

agreed and whenever he was around bellivia, he wouldn't look at him/her and he was clenching his jaw and diverting his glances even backtalking and ignoring him/her. He was awesome I loved all the nonverbals they spoke wonders. Good!! I missed liv, can't wait for them to get her back (its time to leave her bell, she needs her life back)

I thought that he was out killing shapeshifters to when I saw him in his dark colors and with the bag b/4 he took the milk from sleeping walter as well. I think now that he was doing that blowing off some steem from this whole his girlfriend being possesed by his father's dead ex lab partner stress and emotions. Its understandable after watching him all episode that that is what he would do.

  39. It seems I'm in the minoriy, but I didn't realy enjoy this episode all that much. Especially after the recent run of blinding awesome eps. I mean this one was OK... But what was all this crap about 'soul magnets'. Fringe is supposed to be a show about science gone wrong... I hate it when they start talking about souls and spirits...
