    I think the time off and re-tooling of the series paid off in a big way! Maybe the best episode of the season.

    Am I wrong or did even Josh Ritter seem less annoying? The "shocker" moments actually provided something to the overall plot and it just seems streamlined and more linear. If The Event was this well done, and obviously moving towards something like this episode... I think it would have had much higher ratings the first half of the season.

    Sadly, I am not sure even a stellar second half of Season One will save the series. The second half of Flash Forward was quite good too, but in the end it was cancelled despite HUGE overseas popularity.

    LOL Well that would depend on when each episode was in production or had an official episode name, but both stole it from Agatha Christie....

    Yes, I read the Christie novel as a teenager so I wasn't as shocked as my friends by the events in the Supernatural episode. I think the parallel worked well, though.

    As for The Event, I was impressed by last night's episodes. I'm holding out hope for a second season.
