I don't even think they made the jump. I really don't like the direction of the series. This is what happens when 11 episodes are added late in the run year. I want chuck to be good, but at this point I am starting to lose faith.
What jumping the shark? All we see was Ellie looking at the computer, no mention of her having the intersect. It was made clear that they need Ellie to fix the program because she can think like a Bartowski, which means figuring things out in the computer. She's no computer genius, but she can probably crack a code Stephen left for them.
I loved this episode. It deepened Casey's character and relationship with his team, and proved that Sarah isn't the best at everything. It also gave Chuck a lot of moments to shine. I think it was AWESOME.
P.S. Devon's line about Ellie being "Mrs. Awesome" was one of the highlights of the episode.
that's how you do NOT do product placement. Very annoying.
I really liked the ep. Loved the failure of the Gretas. I remain convinced that the best decision that the show made was to let Morgan in on the whole spy thing. Jeffster and the psychic adventures was worth a chuckle. I didn't have a problem with the Ellie storyline. I, personally, wouldn't mind it if Ellie and Awesome could be more integrated into episodes rather than ancillary inanity. (I'm not talking about making them spys. In the first season they were used to augment the struggles Chuck was having with his double live. But since that's been going they seem kind of pointless.)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
There is a line between OMG moments and jump the shark.I think they crossed the line with the Intesect/Ellie SL.

ReplyDeleteI have been a harsh critic of the show of late but I enjoyed this episode. And I do not think they jumped the shark in the least.
