Hey Guys,

As executive producer Joel Wyman is currently using his twitter account a fair amount to chat to the fans, I asked him a question about a couple of my favourite supporting Fringe Characters, Sebastian Roche's Thomas Jerome Newton & Peter Weller's Alistair Peck.
This was his response.

Interesting huh? Hopefully we can see some more Newton in the future then! :)

  1. I asked him about Newton during the tweet along, he said that we have not seen the last of him

  4. This guy seems to be in demand lately. He's busy on Criminal Minds and Supernatural at the moment, too.

I'd love to see him back on Fringe.

  8. Well he said that SEBASTIAN might be back but not NEWTON. So maybe a different shapeshifter that will take on the same form?
But however he's back, I love this guy!

  9. Me too. In fact, I was watching the last Supernatural episode with Balthazar and my boyfriend was freaking out saying "But he's dead! He killed himself!". I had to remind him that that was on Fringe. HA

  10. They sure seem to have a lot of plans for only 7 episodes left this season unless ...

  11. the death of Thomas Newton was one of the sad aspects this season, although it gave a lot of depth to the "over here" storyline... It would be awesome if they could come up with some credible way to bring him back, but I don't see how that's possible as we saw him bleed (mercury, not blood :P) to death....
The only way that springs to mind is another shape shifter who takes that shape, but I don't see the logic behind it as there is a lot of heat on that shape and would make it tough to blend in.

  12. Well, Newton took on the identity of a human over here that looks like Newton, before he crossed over here he might have looked like the shape of the guys from "The man from the other side". There could very well be a person over there who looks like Newton and has nothing to do with the shapeshifters. Just a thought.
