Endgame - low ratings get even lower

26 Mar 2011

Don't except Endgame back for season 2. In its second episode's first airing its viewers dropped from 230,000 last week to 154,000. It's ratings were already significantly below the only two recent hourlong dramas renewed by Showcase (Lost Girl and Haven).
Showcase will also be premiering two new original series King and XIII in April.

  1. Well poop. Can you not just lie and say they were excellent, so i can be happy for the duration of season one?

I don't know much about how ratings effect things, so even with low ratings will we still get to see the whole of the first season? Or is there a risk they will stop showing episodes?

  2. Showcase normally air all episodes of even very low rated shows. As far as i know i think Endgame still airs like 5 times a week anyways (though mostly out of primetime apart from Monday). So i wouldnt worry abou this season.

  3. Thanks, cool, well good to know at least we'll get a full season - i'll just expect it to end there and won't be too disappointed when they cancel it! Surprising it's not doing that well, it strikes me as great quality and entertainment, and the critics seem to like it.

  4. I find the series quirky and kind of charming honestly. Too bad, I was hoping to see the wife's murder solved.... maybe they will solve it yet this season...

  5. Aww, that's too bad. I really like it.

  6. Based on the episode synopses we might get at least a partial explanation for it, although i guess as they already filmed all the episodes it's likely to be a cliffhanger? That'd be harsh. :(

  7. Haven's première was only 298000 so 232000 is not that far off from being a huge success. Context... Canadian ... cable channel.... 200000+ is really quite good.
