As a fan, I think that's good news. I really liked the first two seasons, but (even with the short seasons) this is not a show that needs to go on and on and on.
I love that they actully want it to end. Not many is openly saying they want their show to end before it has aired 4+ seasons nowdays. I love Kenny Powers, but it`s important to try and not wash this character out, and end him great.
If this was the end of season 1 I would be really upset. But this show #%€£¥+€ sucks right now. It really is hard to watch. When you think it can't get any worse here comes the following weeks show to take it to a new low. Kenny powers can't titty fuck shit.
Weak. And the so called fans who are glad it's over are retarded. I agree some shows shouldn't just go on and on. But 3 season. Sorry if u actually like a show u would Nvr say glad it's cancelled after only 3 seasons. If u think that's long enough for a series u clearly don't like it. Espescially 3 short seasons of a 30minute show. 21 total 30min episodes and ur happy wih that!! that's not even 1 completed season for most (and I mean like 90-95% of half hour comedies) shows. If u think that was enough and ur glad they ended it after that many you obviously do not like the show. And I mean that not just specifically for this show but ANY series. If u seriously think a half hr comedy show should only air for 21 episodes then just admit you are not a fan of the show. Don't say it's over like that's a good thing for the show or any fan of it.
Weak? Ya wanna talk about weak? How about the ending of season three? Now that's some weak shit. The real attraction of Eastbound and Down for me was the way Danny McBride's character was so over the top. For Kenny Powers, (a man so self-centered, so outspoken, so outrageous, so oblivious to the people he offended) to quit the majors when he finally got his chance and settle down with his family in seclusion was a huge disappointment. I'm not happy with the way this series ended but I am happy it ended. I have no interest in watching the once, great badass, turn into a family man. Kenny Powers, YOU'RE FUCKING OUT!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I hope it is as funny as the first season.

ReplyDeleteI wish they would keep running it. Funniest show on television. I hope they don't cancel it. Please don't.

ReplyDeleteSeason 3 was the best season the show had.
