I'm a bit impressed (and surprised) that this show has started to creatively define itself apart from its UK counterpart. That being said, Being Human (US) is REALLY laying it on thick with the self-hating, miserable, emo vampire shtick. The show needs to ease up a bit.
I agree - the show is good, but seriously intense with the whole 'anguish' thing. I keep wanting to tell Aidan to get over himself and smile once in a while.
That's what was so great about the UK Being Human. In Series 1 Mitchell(the vampire) smiled quite frequently and didn't hate him self so damn much, that came later on in Series 3.. :( Even in Series 3 he could manage to crack a smile, that boy just loved smiling (and I believe the whole female population didn't mind it one bit). I think the US vampire Aidan should take a lesson in smiling, trust me it will do him wonders. No one wants a brooding, anguishing, depressing vamp. We have Bill Compton and Edward Cullen for that :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
horray, finally some werewolf action. ))
