At last! Casey saves the day, just like old times. I'll take more of the same. Hopefully he is back with Team B in an episode or two. More Casey time is okay with me.
The episode was awesome. I don't trust that Bentley woman. Something about her just screams 'beware' to me. I'm intrigued about where this arc is going. :)
Fun episode... very predictable, but most watch chuck because it's fun... not unpredictable. Bit of a slow episode honestly, not bad at all ... just a bit slow.
The high bar gymnastics was poorly done... but very fun! Loved Sarah trying to bond with Morgan and his "toys" and his realization that collectibles = toys to most of the adult population!
I did like Casey getting his own operation..... but what is the job? Lauren Cohen ( I'm one of the few that liked her on Supernatural) as Vivian taking over the Volkofff empire was awesome and will keep her on the series for at least a couple more episode. Two very intriguing new possible story arcs to explore this season... Me likey!
Most of all I liked the song Lester and Jeff put in the Sleep Sheep... I want it. Maybe it will cure my insomnia too!
It is not a Jeffster original. It is called "Send me on my way", and it is originally by Rusted Root, the band that in Chuck vs the Push Mix Captain Awesome says is "rad", but for some reason last night seemed to not know a thing about. That was one of the many things that irritated me last night with the episode. These continuity problems are becoming more of an issue for me. Agree with you on the gymnastics move being poorly done. It seemed fake, looked fake, and to me was not fun in the least. I did like the Sarah/Morgan interaction, and Casey sensing that he should move on. Besides that, I was disappointed. Hopefully next week will be great, because this weeks eppy and last weeks fell quite short
Also how predictable it was to have the"key" be the heirloom pendant around Vivian's neck... Obvious.
Chuck is definitely a show that could drive you mad if you pay attention to details and continuity like you do. I usually can ignore it, but sometimesit irks me. It's always been an issue for the show, but one needs a shut-off switch when it comes to that kind of thing to look beyond it and just have fun.
Thanks for the info. I love that Afro-Jazz/Ethnic folk world music genre when I want to chill out or for insomnia sleep battles.
Completely predictable. As soon as she put it around Sarah's neck I knew it was the key. I wish that I had that "shut-off switch" because it would make things more enjoyable. I have dealt with it for 4 years but for someone this season I cannot ignore all of the little problems. It wouldn't take the writers long to come to a consensus with details. One episode Lester calls Jeff Jeffrey, and the next its Jefferson. I can't stand it.
Its funny that you mentioned wanting the music to help you with insomnia. A few years ago I had a party at my house and numerous friends crashed there. At like 8 am one of them wakes up, does a few shots, alone, grabs a beer and blasts Rusted Root on my stereo, repeating the same two songs over and over again, Ecstasy and Send Me On My Way. When I finally got up to turn it off he was in my dining room, at 830 am, two beers in his hand, dancing. It was one of the funniest and most annoying mornings of my life.
HAAH! Yeah music affects people different I guess! I just heard the snippet in the show, so Send Me on My Way may have a more energetic or loud bridge or chorus etc...
I am always on the look out for good "sleep music" or chill music like that though even if it doesn't put me to sleep...
Nils Kerchner's "Ancient Intimations" or Jeff Beal soundtracks have been my go to sleep music , but I recently discovered Dhafer Youssef (I think I spelled that right) and I am liking him too...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Amazing episode, really fun and great action.
