supernatural and vampire diaries!!!!!! best shows!! also voted for being human us even though i haven't really had a chance to get into it, i've liked what i've seen so far
also watch the even but i wouldn't call it my fave show so i didn't vote for it
Seeing Being Erica, Eureka, Haven, No Ordinary Family & Warehouse 13 on that list when Battlestar Galactica (2004) isn't (or hasn't even been mentioned in the comments to my knowledge) makes me sad.
Does Haven get any better? I loved the first half of the pilot and then... It just descended into nonsense. I watched the first three episodes and, besides the lead actors, the guest stars are mostly incapable of acting and the plots are contrived/simplistic. I really want to like it as it's filmed in Nova Scotia and has Eric Balfour... But yeah.
Obviously, you love it, so I'm not asking if you think it's good, but rather, whether it's the same throughout or if it improves?
With Supernatural getting better and better as the season rolls on, how can it not be my favorite?! I voted for Merlin, too, because it is a cute show, but it has a long way to go before I would say it is one of the best.
Even though I do watch, or intend to watch most of the shows listed, it is Supernatural and V for me... they're the two shows I look forward too the most each week generally... Though I have to admitt SPN at this point is more of a habbit, (however, not a bad one ;-D) while I find myself enjoying and anticipating V in a way I used to be with Supernatural in the early years...
1/ Fringe. 2/ True Blood. 3/ The Vampire Diaries. 4/ The Event. 5/ The Walking Dead.
In that list, I also watch V and No Ordinary Family but they are so awfully written, thus they can't be in the top 5. I've given up on Warehouse 13, it's just way too common. In all the series listed in the poll, there are three that I will start watching in 2011 : Misfits (I actually have already seen the first 3 episodes, I liked it) Doctor Who & Supernatural.
Similar list and order as mine except Supernatural as number 4 not The Event. I hope I can get into The Event more when it returns, because I think it had potential... just lost interest a little since I think it will be cancelled.
The more I hear about Miracle Day ... the more excited I get. Jack and the team coming to the US... the new cast and it moving to STARZ here. All good news. I haven't heard how many episodes are in this series though... I hope more than COE!
It did not make my 5 faves. I watched the entire season and intend to watch it when it returns this season. I found it to slowly improve as the season went on.
My 5: Doctor Who, Lost Girl, Merlin, Misfits, True Blood.
4 of those are foreign-made. Hollywood really needs to get its act together and start making good shows again.
The good news is there are only 6 episodes of the walking dead for the first season. The second season doesn't start till october. that season is supposed to have about 13 episodes. =) the walking dead is really good.
Just one show beats all the others listed....SUPERNATURAL..if u haven't seen an episode I would so recommend doing so...you'll luv it and soon become a fan like most of us SPN fans..
I so agree VD was not too bad at the start now it's taken a bad turn not as interesting so after the CW decided to air reruns of the show instead of airing Supernatural I decided it was time to stop watching and I don't miss it b/c I have a great funny, sexy men, exciting/interesting show to watch that you should try you just might like it...Supernatural....lol
#1. SUPERNATURAL (we will once again salt and burn all the others) #2. Walking Dead (great zombie show) #3. Being Human US (I've loved what I've seen so far of the show and it actually makes me curious about the BBC version) I honestly don't watch anything else. I was watching The Cape but I sort of gave up on it when I heard it's episode order was reduced and it was in big trouble for being renewed for another season. It wasn't that good anyways. I don't watch a lot of tv I'm too busy to run my life by scheduled television.
Hi Cadence I thought Haven would be great it's my all time fav writer S King but I became bored and it is now just hard to watch unbelievable Still one show that has similar stuff going on but more one the monster side and then 2 hot and I mean hot guys investigating you just never get bored is ...SUPERNATURAL..if u haven't seen an episode I would so recommend doing so...just see one ep and you may be a fan like most of us...

Right! Torchwood wasn't on the list! I guess it isn't airing currently, fair enough. Am super psyched about Miracle Day :D.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely freaking improved! It's awesome.
ReplyDeleteWith Supernatural getting better and better as the season rolls on, how can it not be my favorite?! I voted for Merlin, too, because it is a cute show, but it has a long way to go before I would say it is one of the best.
ReplyDeleteno fair, I couldn't click on all the ones I like. SPN, DW, Merlin, Sanctuary, Smallville, SG-U

My one and only love, Soupernatural.
ReplyDeletei actually find Lost Girl to be much closer to Whedon's style than the Vampire Diaries
ReplyDeleteEven though I do watch, or intend to watch most of the shows listed, it is Supernatural and V for me... they're the two shows I look forward too the most each week generally...

ReplyDeleteSimilar list and order as mine except Supernatural as number 4 not The Event. I hope I can get into The Event more when it returns, because I think it had potential... just lost interest a little since I think it will be cancelled.
ReplyDeleteI always felt Lost girl had a Whedonverse feel to it also.
ReplyDeleteDrop Dead Diva should have been included.
ReplyDeleteThe more I hear about Miracle Day ... the more excited I get. Jack and the team coming to the US... the new cast and it moving to STARZ here. All good news. I haven't heard how many episodes are in this series though... I hope more than COE!
ReplyDeleteI thought it found its legs halfway thru the season, but it still has some silly plots to me. I did enjoy the entire first season on whole though....
ReplyDeleteIt did not make my 5 faves. I watched the entire season and intend to watch it when it returns this season. I found it to slowly improve as the season went on.
ReplyDeleteMy 5: Doctor Who, Lost Girl, Merlin, Misfits, True Blood.
4 of those are foreign-made. Hollywood really needs to get its act together and start making good shows again.
