The Walking Dead's executive producer Gale Anne Hurd has dismissed rumours that Charlie Sheen will guest star in the second season.
Earlier reports suggested that Sheen had signed up to play a zombie in a future episode.
However, Hurd told HitFix that she has no idea where the speculation came from.
"That is insane," she said. "I'm on Twitter and I just got someone saying, 'Say it isn't so'. We don't even know what the episodes are going to be, much less stunt-casting zombies. That certainly isn't our intention to stunt-cast zombies."
Hurd also revealed that the writers will get together in January to start work on the new season.
She added: "I think that fans of the comic book will be happy with some of the choices we make in terms of new characters and stops along the way."

That would have been awful on so many levels...
ReplyDeleteTwo and a half zombies
ReplyDeleteCharlie does have a lifetime of experience playing an only semi-alert half human incoherent wanderer....
ReplyDeleteWhy would anyone hire a known actor to play a character just to roam like a wino and, above all, speechless. Only if they would take flashbacks on its former self (to show how regular people they were, with a family, a job and mundane worries). And even that wouldn't stand for more than one episode.
