-Ratings Breakdown:
It was a clean overnight Tuesday sweep for CBS with its combination of NCIS (13.6 rating/20 share), spin-off NCIS: Los Angeles (11.4/17) and older skewing The Good Wife (8.8/14). Distant NBC aired two-hours of The Biggest Loser: Couples (5.5/ 8 from 8-10 p.m.), which always resonates among adults 18-49, and sophomore Parenthood (#3: 3.6/ 6), which no longer holds the potential of a long run like it did last spring. Here is the half-hour breakdown for The Biggest Loser: Couples:
The Biggest Loser: Couples (NBC)
8:00 p.m.: 5.5/ 8 (#2)
8:30 p.m.: 5.4/ 8 (#2)
9:00 p.m.: 5.5/ 8 (#2)
9:30 p.m.: 5.8/ 9 (#2)
Next up was ABC with its line-up of on-the-fence freshman drama No Ordinary Family (#3: 3.8/ 8), week two of the second season of V (#3: 4.2/ 6) and Detroit 1-8-7 (#2: 3.7/ 6), which will be replaced in April by long delayed Dana Delany crime solver Body of Proof. Compared to one week earlier (5.0/ 7 on January 4), V dipped by 16 percent.
Elsewhere, Fox populated the evening with a repeat of Glee (#4: 3.4/ 5) and recent game show entry Million Dollar Money Drop (#4: 3.3/ 5), which has lost steam after a promising start last month. And The CW aired encore telecasts of One Tree Hill (#5: 0.7/ 1) and Life Unexpected (#5: 0.6/ 1), which concludes with back-to-back episodes next Tuesday. Glee talent sighting at the Fox party last night: Jane Lynch.

Ok, I seriously do not understand the obsession with NCIS or NCIS 2.0...They are like any other procedural show out there. Nothing special and yes I have watched it...Mark Harmon is cute sometimes but the cases are just like every other cop show except this is the military...
ReplyDeleteI agree Sue! But the good news is that V beated NOF and did nice stuff on the 18-49 share (more than NOF). I'm fed up with cop shows! Whyb people don't watch V season 2? The show i getting better and better!
ReplyDeleteIt Is not all bad news for V.It was hurt a little compared to last week with a new NCIS:LA airing. It still beat Million DOllor money drop.It was ABC's best performing show In both total Viewers and 18-48 demo.No Ordinary Family has dropped even more.
ReplyDeleteV and No Ordinary Family are my ABC lineup. All those other shows they announced to be renewed I don't give a rats ass about.
We need shows that are not Reality,NCIS,CSI,and Law and order. All of whom you couldn't pay me to watch.
Out of V, the other tv show I follow in ABC is Castle. Happy that Castle was just renewed, I still keep fingers crossed for V.
ReplyDeleteHehe, I think that there are VERY few people who watch the show for the cases. People just fell in love with the characters. Sometimes, writers just hit the right note.
ReplyDeleteI watched NCIS the first few seasons and enjoyed it honestly, but I never thought it was anywhere near the best show on tv.... just fun. I gave itup after a few seasons because like all procedurals, it got old to me being the same thing week after week. NCID:LA I do not get at all . I tried it but I could not get into it.
ReplyDeleteThe Ratings for #NOF are inaccurate. Last Night Texas fans were unable to watch the show because their cable server showed WFAA at 7pm ,where NOF's slot was supposed to be. There was no notice for this. If this did not happen, I can assure you that NOF would have gained higher than #V did last night!
ReplyDeleteThank you all...I am glad I am not the only one that just doesn't get it...I agree Elodie, I love V...I like different shows..Not the same crap over and over again. The rat eating and feeding the baby last night on V was gross and awesome..LOL
ReplyDeleteNCIS is absolutely nothing like the other procedurals. They have amazing actors, amazing writers, comedy, good drama about the main characters, appealing characters, and... then list can go on. They do not dwell on the cases... you may have watched it, but you did not understand it.
ReplyDeleteThe NCIS ratings are inaccurate. Actually they were higher at almost 22 milion. 21.93 I believe...
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more, pal. ;)
