    i've never seen the UK version and i'm sure it's fantastic cus of what everyone says, but i'm gonna judge this just as it is and i thought it was absolutely amazing! a fascinating premise. the entire cast is brilliant and the characters are interesting. it's provocative, funny, and totally crazy. i really hope this is another big hit for showtime and that it only gets better cus this pilot was awesome.

    Shameless was AMAZING! One of the best pilots of the season! I have heard the UK version is incredible(have not seen it) so the series had a lot of material to work with and it shows! They touched on every character, gave us a reason to like them and empathize with them. And I can't leave out the humor and great writing! AMAZING!

    I'd suggest watching the British one if you have the time. The first episodes are almost identical. Unfortunately, the UK versions kind've dwindled as it went on, so I'm hoping the American one won't.

    I was wondering about that, thank you for the info! I think at this point I will wait to watch the UK version until the US version is off the air or at least until the season ends. That way I can enjoy it without knowing what will happen next or comparing too much. I will check it out tho!
