I was at the CBS TCA session today and can say that Hawaii Five-O has not officially received a second-season pickup. CBS President of Entertainment Nina Tassler was specifically asked that question (and I'm quoting):
Reporter: Have you announced any second-season pickups for Hawaii Five-O...?I'd be shocked if the show wasn't picked up, but it just hasn't happened yet.
Nina Tassler: No, not yet.

Thanks for clearing that up. The Hollywood Reporter was saying all 5 freshman shows on CBS had been given second season orders
ReplyDeleteNo problem! I didn't want people getting excited prematurely, though like I said, I personally consider a pickup to be a sure thing at some point later on.
ReplyDeleteit would be a great dissappointment to me if the 2nd season will not be picked up.
ReplyDeleteI don't see why they would cancel it. I believe they were promoting it as the #1 new show of the season, not sure if that is accurate however. I think it's just that it hasn't been announced yet, not that the show is in any real danger.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, pick up already! CBS you know how good this show rates. Or you just want to make Alex's career more harder
ReplyDeleteYeah well that is exactly what happened when Alex was in Moonlight they said not yet and had everyone of the fans believing that there would be since it was doing so good and then at the last moment they axed it right out from under us. Nothing in this business is set in stone until that time. Thanks for the info.
