I got to say I'm glad that SV is back to it's good episodes because the last two have been CRAP episodes. I FREAKING love Lionel!!! So I'm glad to have him back. I think it's brilliant the way he is back and I am so excited to see how that turns out, it's going to be crazy lol. I loved the alterna world and I thought they did it really well. So I can't wait to see how it all turns out.
u mean ULTRAMAN! I actually got excited and had to rewind it twice because how sexy and awsome tess and clark were in the barn, same with at the daily planet! Ultraman and Tess making out was very hot!
WOO HOO!!!! LIONEL'S BACK BABY!!! Well that is Lionel Luthor Earth 2! And the way he acts in Earth 2 this Lionel seems like the ultimate evil that Lionel Luthor in Earth 1 had always had but for this lionel he let it out to the world! John Glover will be in 3 more episodes that rocks!! This was an amazing episodes and true dc comics fan episode when it introduces Ultraman! In the comics Superman and the Justice League have alternate dopplegangers from and earth 2 and Superman's is Ultraman (Clark Luthor) I was so happy they kept saying it! Fun Fact: Lex's doppleganger is a hero and named Alexander! I would like to see that for an episode then have Lex kill Alexander! YAY LIONEL LUTHOR IS BACK!
The alternate world was well, pretty awesome. Oliver/Lois was cool and the not!incest between Clark and Tess was unexpected for me, but I also only watch select episodes.
BUT LIONEL! OMG! NOT THE LUTHOR I WAS EXPECTING. IN A GOOD WAY.
One of my favourite eps of the season but i wanted Clark Kent/Clark Luthor to battle it out. there are never any good kryptonian vs kryptonian fights. like with Zod but anyway absolutely epic episode
When the hell are we gonna find out if Michael Rosenbaum will be back or not?! If he doesn't, all of this Alexander, Lionel, and Tess stuff is CRAP. I don't give a crap about Darkseid. There is too much irrelevant stuff between episodes that have anything to do with Darkseid, so I just don't care. I didn't ever get into Superman comics that much so maybe that is part of the reason. As a show, disregarding the comics, Smallville has revolved heavily around Lex, Lionel, the Luthor mansion, Luthorcorp, and Tess. Not having Mr. Rosenbaum play Lex one more time would be such a huge letdown.
i was hoping for the same thing to a battle between them but i guess when one of the clarks uses the box then the other one has to go at the same time. + they probably wouldnt have enough time for the show to have them battle. The best battle of the series was Clark vs Zod in season 9 finale. THANK YOU GREG BEEMAN! Lets hope clark vs darkseid is even better
Actually the whole lex clone dynamic is in the comics and the real lex will one day tap into his clone's body. Although in the comics its a little different, "In the 90's Lex Luthor himself was dying of Cancer after years of wearing a Kryptonite Ring on his hand. The Cancer grew to the point where Lex's body died. However, wanting to cheat death, Lex had himself cloned, and upon the death of his old body, had his mind transferred to a younger and more fit body with a full head and beard of red hair. He took on the new identity of Alexander "Lex" Luthor II" read more at http://smallville.wikia.com/wiki/Alexander_Luthor
I know all about that story from the comics. It appears though Inless there Is a twist the real Lex Is still out there and It was a clone blown up In Season 8 the Iconic Lex Luthor who will be Superman's greatest enemy and will one day be elected President Is a clone.
This was another episode I think Superman comic book fans were more apt to like than people like me that like Smallvile but never read the comics. Ultraman did little for me. I love Lionel and was nice to see him back. It was an interesting nature vs nuture episode, but not one of the best of the season for me.
I totally agree! Darkseid seems like a very silly thing to do on a final season since the Luther family has been so involved in the series from the start. Anf the Luther's without Rosenbaum is a pale clone at best....
10 seasons is impressive. But being on CW is not. As much as I don't want to admit it, I doubt Fringe will last that many seasons. I like and watch both shows and I'm not trying to pick favorites. I only meant that I thought Fringe did a much better job with transitioning back and forth between universes than Smallville did.
Yea, I am not a fan of the alternate universe stuff on Smallville at all. I guess it is part of the Superman mythos, but I don't think I have ever been impressed with one of them. Fringe on the other hand, I agree did a much better job and made the altverse as interesting as our own. Fringe may be a better show as far as writing or acting or plots... and definitely more original.
Sometimes I think that in itself plays against it being a successful series. Look at the well done, original series in the past decade... Carnivale, Firefly, Millennium, Kings, Rubicon and so many more. They just never were grasped or at a minimum accepted by enough people to keep them on the air more than a season or two. Many people complain about the same old cop shows or the same old law shows, but then when they get a chance to watch an original series... they do not like it for one reason or another no matter how well executed said series is. I think, despite all the complaints, people want what they are familiar with for the most part. Maybe something tweaked just enough to be different than its predecessor, but not too tweaked to be something original. Yikes.... I do tend to rant when I'm caffeinated.....
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteWell I was right In how I was thinking how John Glover would be in more episodes.
ReplyDeleteWhen alternate Clark kissed Tess she didn't seem to mind It.
Is it bad that I found evil!Clark pretty hot?

ReplyDeleteIf Michael Rosenbaum returns it will not be till the series finale anyway. They are defentlly hinting at the
ReplyDeleteIconic Lex Luthor being a clone.

ReplyDeleteThis season, Smallville is doing Fringe. Previously it was Saw, etc.
ReplyDeleteSmallville couldn't touch Fringe!
ReplyDeleteLet Fringe come visit Smallville once Fringe has had 10 seasons.... then maybe Smallville would want to touch Fringe.

I totally agree. And there is nothing wrong with caffeinated rants! Anybody who doesn't agree, well they are probably sleeping already!
ReplyDeleteGood episode. It was a great Tess episode, though. More of that, please.
