    1. Damon would ONLY talk to elena this way.
    2. If Kat wanted to punch Damon, his head would fly away from his body. She's older and stronger and he would not be able to stop it so easily.
    3. The dialogue implies care and wanting to save the person even if the person itself goes against it. Damon does not care for Katherine. However Damon cares about Elena.

    BONNIE! Omgoodness.. be careful bb. *worries, frets* She's Mystics true champion without a doubt. Wish the vamps would put a cork in their spellcast demands, and instead give a lill' love and tenderness back to the teeny Bennett vixen. Jeremy/Elena running headfirst rashly.. does no one take notes on the last time that failed completely? Rose/Elena team up was hot... I may need to gay them up soon. :) Stefan is gorgeous, I want one. BonJeremy adorkable hotness with a side of wanting to give him milk and cookies. "Chunky Monkey" Oh, Ric.. stop bragging. :D

    Three weeks?! Forget Katherine, it's TVD that's the true pawn-master.

    Finally Elena is interesting.

    Just sitting there and looking pretty and helpless just does not cut it, so its nice to see her trying to actually do something instead and sitting there and saying on how bad it all is.

    When I think about it, her character can be a lot more interesting if she is more intense and involved.

    A bit more manipulation and deceitfulness. Sort of like Katherine, but less evil, less egoistic, less psycho and less sociopath. These character traits are certainly there.
