Supernatural - See Where SpoilerTV Users Rate Season 6 Episodes (Updated to 6.09)

Hey guys,

Had a bit of time and thought I would set up the same table I have been doing for Fringe and House with probably the biggest group of interactive fans on the site, as I figured it could be something you are all interested in. For those new to what it is, it is basically me taking how you all rated the individual episode of Supernatural this season, (when you voted Awesome, Great, OK etc.) and compiling it into a table so you can see the as a whole, which episodes where more popular.

This is the table thus far:

As you can see, the premiere was not as popular, but there was a steady increase in the following three episodes, where episode four, 'Weekend at Bobbies' hit the current top spot, before the episodes varied out across the board.

Do you agree? Disagree? Sound off and comment below, and if it proves popular I'll keep it going when Supernatural kicks back in a couple of weeks.

Adam

  1. "Weekend at Bobby's" is my favorite so far with last week's "Clap Your Hands If You Believe" second. While enjoyable, I didn't find anything very special about the other episodes this season. "Live Free or Twihard" was a bit of a letdown too.

  2. I agree with all of this exceptthat "The Third Man" was so high. It just felt weird and had some major plotting issues... But aside from that, this is pretty accurate to my opinion.

Oh wait - All Dogs Go To Heaven is pretty low. Wow. Didn't expect that.

Great post, Adam. It gives us an easy, clear view on what we thought of the episodes. :)

  3. No worries. It's something I'm trying to get going with a few shows. Just takes time to get them going :P

    haha

  4. I have to admit that the season premiere was a bit of a suprise, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. I did not know what to expect with the beginning of the new season, and how we were supposed to know that Sam would have no soul?
So, Adam, I think your list is pretty accurate based on comments that have been made throughout the season so far. I am enjoying it immensely and look forward to another exciting episode each week. I miss the old Sam very much, but I have it on pretty good faith that by the end of the season things will be back to "normal" for the boys and our beloved Sam will be back. Can't wait!

  5. I actually liked the premiere and Live Free or Twihard. I think it was seeing Dean as a vampire and the completely menacing look on his face that did it for me in the latter. Superb. And I think it was the beginning montage of Exile that made me like it as much as I did. Although I do agree Weekend at Bobby's was the best so far, I've liked the last few more than the first few. I think my least favorite was The Third man. It just didn't flow right. Thanks for the update, Adam!

the other ones to i liked em , season six is good and it's gettin better

  7. I loved "Live Free or Twihard" and I feel that "Clap Your Hands if you Believe" was the weakest episode of the season by far. "Weekend at Bobby's" is clearly the best, and I would put "You Can't Handle the Truth" right behind it.

  8. I agree with most of this... I would put the last two higher though ahahaha. Bad fans bad. :DDD

  9. Mine would be-

    1-Family Matters
    2-Clap Your Hands
    3-Weekend At Bobby's
    4-All Dogs
    5-The Third Man
    6-You Cant Handle The Truth
    7-Live Free
    8-Two And A Half Men
    9-Exile On Main Street

'Exile' was possibly the worst episode of SPN I have ever seen. 'Two and a Half' wasn't much better but the babies were super cute. 'Twi-hard' was just boring other than the scene where Sam watched Dean get turned it was kind of pointless. 'Truth' was just blah except for the last 5 minutes or so. 'The Third Man' started of good (shirtless pull up-nough said) but it just didn't flow. Sam and Dean just became spectators in the second half and well I'm kinda bored off douchey angels. I really could care less about heavens latest shit-fest. 'All Dogs' was OK, well acted (props to that dog) and really quite solid though spoiled for me due to the CW's press press release giving away the fact that Lucky was the perp and that he was a skin-walker. Weekend was solid and I didn't even mind the lack of Sam and Dean. Bobby, Crowley and Rufus were awesome. 'Clap' was hilarious, just a great 40 minutes of entertainment even if in the grand scheme of the season I doubt it'll mean much. My favourite episode of the season so far 'Family Matters', solid, entertaining, mythology and family heavy. Probably the turning point of a season that to me seemed to be going nowhere fast.

All in all this season hasn't been too bad, it hasn't been great either but it definitely has potential for a great mid season and second half. I don't have issue with Soulless Sam as long as it doesn't drag on for too long. The Campbell's, Alpha's, Crowley, Purgatory, heavens war/missing weapons, the soul hoarding all seem to be linked one way or another, as does Sam's missing soul. So even though the season got off to a rather disappointing start it does seem to be getting better.

  10. Well, since you started a list I guess I'll do one too, in the same format. :)

    1. Weekend at Bobby's
    2. Family Matters
    3. Clap your Hands if You Believe
    4. You Can't Handle the Truth
    5. All Dogs Go To Heaven
    6. Two and a Half Men
    7. Exile on Main Street
    8. The Third Man
    9. Live Free or Twi-Hard

Exile On Main St. was definitely didn't meet great standards, but it felt very new - a signaling of a new(in many more ways than one) season. I liked Two and a Half Men cause shapeshifters have always been my favourite monster. The Third Man had some major plotting issues and was boring, Weekend at Bobby's was awesome. That may go down in my top 10 of all time. What followed it was largely disappointing and weird. Live Free promised us comedy and gave us nothing. "Truth" in my opinion was really good. Family Matters was outstanding quality. Alpha vamp was super. All Dogs was pretty good, with as you mentioned great acting. Finally, Clap your Hands actually came through on funny and lightheartedness.

I have a very good impression from this season with a few exceptions( but what show doesn't?). Souless Sam is sort of a relief from AngstySam. I'm interested to see what happens.

  11. I totally agree about favoring Soulless Sam over Brooding Sam. Now, if only the show would just ease up on Whiny Dean...

  12. Thanks for this Adam -I'm delighted to see that, despite some complaints, every episode has rated 8 or higher...... it just proves S6 is pretty damn great. That's cause for celebration I reckon!

    So......... Yaaaayyyy for Supernatural. :D

  19. You know the one with ALL THE REVEALS :)
Where they capture the Alpha Vamp...bells going off yet? :P

  20. Just adding my welcome. We're a pretty friendly group here. I agree with Live Free at the bottom. Hope to hear your opinion some more.

  21. 1. Family Matters (by a hair over WaB just because of all the reveals)
    2. Weekend at Bobby's (made me love Bobby even more)
    3. You Can't Handle the Truth (Veritas confirms Sam isn't Sam)
    4. Exile on Main Street (I really enjoyed this episode. I loved the opening montage, Lisa/Ben, and the end of the hiatus. Didn't like the CSA)
    5. All Dogs Go to Heaven (ActionWinchesters! I love them.)
    6. Third Man (Loved Balthy, Hated the continuing angel saga. Also kid torture.)
    7. Clap Your Hands if You Believe (FUNNY but plot problems the size of moon craters)
    8. Two and a Half Men (what happened in this one? Oh yeah..there was a baby and an Alpha right?)
    9. Live Free or Twihard (you had so much potential - oh what might have been.)

All in all thought I love this season. It's got the intensity that the Apocalypse totally missed. It's got an intriguing mytharc with the Alphas. It's got RoboSam and the endless dry humor he provides. There's no episode so far I would give below a B- and at least two A+++ episodes. Can't wait to see what happens next.

  22. :-) Grandpa Creepy working with Crowley. Crowley having Sam's soul. Alphas have mommies. Crowley wants real estate in Purgatory. Christian is a demon. Cas acts suspiciously. This is the episode I can't forget. It's Two and a Half Men and Third Man that get jumbled in my mind.

  23. Hi, don't worry, you'll fine. I am pretty new myself and I enjoyed it. If you respect other peoples opinions, nobody's gonna bite ;)

    ReplyDelete
  24. I guess my list is pretty different from what you guys think...

    1. You Can't Handle the Truth - the "what's up with Sam" episode; lies, lies, lies and some truth at the end, TENSION man!, heartbreaking moments, bloody and gross moments, cool storyline with the truth that kills; great cliffhanger at the end.
    2. Live Free or Twi-hard - am I really the only one who actually liked the episode? Vampire Dean was awesome (the teeth!!!). Sam watching him get turned was intense. The nest had a great athosphere, I was really nervous that someone would attack Dean any second. And I loooooved Dean's vampiric vision, too bad there wasn't a bigger storyline behind it. I mean yeah, I did expect more funny vampire mocking too, but apart from lacking the comedy, the episode was brilliant.
    3. Family Matters - pretty much similar in atmoshpere to the former two, great, intense with the big reveals, although the reveals I don't like that much, so that's why it's third.
    4. All Dogs Go to Heaven - a solid episode, very watchable; it was when the hilarious soulless Sam first occured ;)
    5. The Third Man - loved Cas in this episode, do I have to say more? ;)
    6. Clap Your Hands if You Believe - hilarious, but weird. I mean, fairies?
    7. Weekend at Bobby's - yes, it only 7th for me. What can I say, I missed my boys and the episode was pretty slow. Cool idea, but not so exciting. No suspense.
    8. Two and a Half Men - the baby was a cutie, great idea with baby monsters, but not very exciting.
    9. Exile on Main Street - I didn't hate it, but for a premiere it was really weak.

  25. Here's my ratings:
Exile on Main Street: 8.5 (I loved the mysterious feel & seeing the djinns attack the neighbors really got to me)
2.5 Men: 8.4 (the opening was great, the SS baby was awesome, and the alpha was kinda cool)
The 3rd Man: 6.5 (They brought on Newton..er Balthazar, plus Cas, but otherwise I almost despised this ep)
Weekend at Bobby's: 9.9 (I can't even begin to describe the awesome in this episode!)
Live Free or Twihard: 8.0 (I LOVED the vamp killing, the vision, & the twihate, but it was so weirdly paced)
You Can't Handle The Truth: 9.0 (The room with the ravaged bodies just WOW and the last scenes...WOW)
Family Matters: 9.5 (The best storyline-driven ep so far...I was reeling from all the twists for days...)
All Dogs Go to Heaven: 7.3 (good humor, decent storyline, SamLITE finally fessed up...)
Clap Your Hands if You Believe: 6.8 (The humor alone could've made this a 10, but the rammifications of all the things they just added to the mythos [fairies, leprechauns and alternate dimensions!???] left me feeling almost pissed...)

  26. Don't lie to him. We bite. HARD.
    ...Ok just kidding. :)

  27. "Family Matters" was a solid, well-done Supernatural episode. While it wasn't the best this season, it was the most consistent episode this season. It was the most suspenseful too. Those facts alone put it in front of all of this season's episodes except the two I've already mentioned.

  28. Wow, people think different...my own ranking:

1.Clap your hands if you believe
    2. You can't handle the thruth
    3. Family Matters
    4. Weekend at Bobby's
    5. The Third Man
    6. Exile on Main Street
    7. Live Free or Twi Hard
    8. Two and a Half Man
    9. All dogs go heaven

    ReplyDelete
  29. 1. Weekend At Bobby's
    2. Family Matters
    3. You Can't Handle The Truth
    4. Clap Your Hands If You Believe
    5. Exile On Main Street
    6. All Dogs Go To Heaven

    7. The Third Man
    8. Live Free Or Twihard

The Third Man and Live Free or Twihard were the only major disappointments for me. Weekend At Bobby's is a classic and one of my all time favorite. Family Matters was spectacular. The reste was pretty good. Don't really know how i feel about this season yet. It got way better after ep 605, and I like soulless Sam, but this can't go on forever. If they drag on the search of Sam's soul until the end of the season, then it'll be as crappy as season 5. They need to give him back right after the hiatus, that would be perfect. If that is done, then I have high hopes for the season.
