Worst episode of the whole series. They are completely destroying Booth's character and integrity. We are being set up, I know, but this ep was just awful. I am so disappointed.
First of all the ep was boring, they have separated B & B to be only work partners now. The show is turning into a boring procedural without the heart it has had in the past with the other characters. Up until tonight I supported Booth moving on, did not like his choice, but he had nothing going with Brennan so he needed to find someone to love. The way it is destroying his character is that he is not longer the heart person. He should have gone with Brennan to celebrate the pregnancy. He is an adult, he could have waited one hour before getting back to sexing his gf. He has called on Bren to be his village, Max to teach science to Parker and the squints to accept and love his son. I know we are being set up, probably so he can reject Brennan when she has her epithany and so extending the angst and sadness that was once a fun, light hearted show. Aren't you sorry you asked?
haha not really. i likeyour answer, actually. i see it now. but i agree that I think it is all a set-up. next episode seems very eye-opening, I think the writers are trying to steer us away from all the sexual tension, and suddenly slap their audience in the face with it all at once. I'm really excited to see how next week's ep plays out
No ep next week, we have to live with this bad taste in our mouths for two weeks. Then Bones will be helping Booth and Hannah warm Parker up to the new dynamics in their lives.
I have to agree with Booth being a complete a** each episode and I don't care set up or not I am not in love with his character and each week I just go huh? I know that we fans have no right to question HH and his divine knowledge (which is bs, I totally respect him as the writer but totally disagree with his acting as if we have no right to hate Hannah or not buy into the crap he is selling. We make his show possible each week) but each week I find myselfwondering if watching is worth it and realizing that even if they bring it all back around I am not sure I like him (Booth) enough to care anymore. What really torques me about the next episode is the fact that Booth is this serious about Hannah, moved her in and has been with her for awhile now and YET Parker hasn't even met her?! He came back to the states for Parker but spends NO time with him?! Hannah is even ruining my impression of him as a Father. Yet the writers and producers just LOVE her and tell us everyday that we will too. I just don't get it at all. It is pathetic because this show has such loyal fans that we would follow the jumping schedules and defend it til the end, all to have it go like this. Bummer.
I can't disagree with one word you said. It is indeed a dark time in the Bones universe, but if we get a dark Booth a la Angelus, it might just be worth it. Trouble is with the breaks for Thanksgiving and then xmas, it will be months before the story moves ahead. Don't know how much more angst and sadness we can all take. :(
Trust me you are not the only one who's disappointed. I guess from the average 9.5 million viewers at least 4 million is disappointed. However that 4 million keeps watching the show because they hope that Hannah will disappear sooner or later. Actually I also agree with GerryTart5. Because how is it, that Booth came home from the war to spend more time with Parker? And now it has been weeks/months since Hannah moved in with and he didn't even visit his son?!? The writers are totally destroying Booth's character, it looks more and more like he hasn't got a heart! He could have waited just another hour to be there when Angela and Hodgins announce the pregnancy, but noo, he had to go home to Hannah, gosh, Seeley Booth is on the way to become a real as*hole...congratulations to the writers of the show for this!
I am much calmer today and am trying to come to grips with the reason they are writing Booth this way now. It seems like Bt is separating himself from the squints too but we dont know if the squints have reached out to him either. We did not see Angela even invite him to the announcement so maybe he was just going along with Brennan. No matter what he could have spent a few minutes congratulating Hodgins and then left to go home to Hannah. As much as I hate to think he is being ruled by his baser instincts Brennan has had him so tied up for the last few years I a sure he is enjoying that relationship to this point. I was unhappy with the BB interaction, the case, too much forensics for me and then the I gotta go scene. I watched it streaming and am not sure I am even going to watch it again via my dvr.
This was one Verrry disappointing episode. Booth has gone crazy. But I guess all the squints are sort of drifting apart from him ever since he brought Hannah in their midst. I guess thats their way of siding with Brennan... And yes, every season there's one episode where Booth is shown as a loving father but then Parker is completely off the pages. Why is that? I guess this just goes to show how unsure he is about his relationship with Hannah. Whatever the scenario, Bones needs to buck it up. It is Seriously a great show and I would hate to see it go down the dumpster.
Dry Bones! I feel like their relationship has dried up even in an episode with Hannah out of town. Where's the climax scenes of previous seasons when Booth recuses Bones from danger (the gravedigger and/or ep. where he leaves hospital to save her) or scenes where she's emotional torn and he's her shoulder to cry on (ep. where she finds out the true id of her family). The writers ( traitors) are trying to build us up to see Bones realize what she's lost and accept her feeling for Booth, BUT what's needed is for BOOTH to wake up and remember HE LOVES her and admit it--a second chance for them both. I hope the grave digger comes back soon and kidnaps one or both of them so that won't be astranged anymore. i'm miserable things about the next episode.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeletehow do you think theyre destoying Booth? I didn't see anything wrong or any differences in him this episode, except for the sexual deprivation...
