Supernatural - Season 6 - Casting News - Robert Englund to Guest

Thanks to Bruce_F for the heads up.

At this rate, Robert Englund is going to surpass Summer Glau as cult TV’s No. 1 go-to guest star. Filmdom’s original Freddy Krueger has closed a deal to appear in the Dec. 10 episode of Supernatural, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Englund — who is set to terrorize Team Bartowski on next Monday’s Halloween-themed Chuck — will play a character known simply as Dr. Robert.

“Hunters often find themselves in situations where they need medical attention but can’t exactly stroll into an ER,” explains exec producer Sera Gamble. “Robert plays an unlicensed doc who makes his living stitching folks up on the down low. One of our guys goes to him with a life-or-death problem.”

  3. That guy is creepy...he guest starred on Bones last season and it was so unecessarily creepy, but he will definately be a perfect fit for Supernatural. As much as I love that show, sometimes it creeps me out when it doesn't really need to be that creepy, but thats how the show is

  5. I thought Robert Englund's spot on Bones was great. The best part was that he was unnecessarily creepy. It was hilarious.

  9. I have to say...I've wondered how Sam and Dean would deal with someone as legendary as Freddy Kreuger!

  12. Finally, they are addressing the issue of "what if I'm bleeding profusely after a werewolf takes a chomp?" or "What should I do after the okami munches on my arm?" XD

  14. Love that they are showing the behind the scenes issues. They can't be going to the hospital all the time so I always wondered what they did. It sounds like Robert Englund/Freddy Krueger is not playing the bad guy this time. Interesting. Maybe that means he could guest star again if it goes well.

Sam has really never gone to get a medical attention except after the car crash and that wasn't much and when he broke his hand, which wasn't even shown. And I think Dean has gone 3 times to the ER in Faith,In my time of dying and in season 4 but I don't remember the name of that epi =/ Kinda hope it's Sam this time

  16. I wonder who will get hurt this time and will be in need of medical attention? Sam has been the one who has needed medical attention more often (Jump the Shark), but the only time I remember him being in the hospital was after the car crash and Dean was in a coma. I guess this means our long break for the holidays won't be coming this year. Yay! Can't wait for this one!

  17. Yes he is. I remember when he played Willy on the original V. I've always loved his acting.

  18. I hope he he doesn't turn out to be evil or anything. They'll probably kill him off or something, which I hope not. This could be really interesting :)

  19. I'm wondering which one of the boys will be the one w/ life or death problem! but I doubt they'll let us know this soon!:( BTW It really sounds like fanfiction to me!!:D

  20. Robert Englund was being interviewed and he said he spent most of his time with Jensen while filming.

yeah I've kinda figured it out that it would be Dean since the behind the scenes photos came from this episode when Dean was walking with *SPOILER* Tessa the reaper..
