According to Deadline FOX has renamed its Midseason show "Ride-Along" to "The Chicago Code".
Here is what Shawn Ryan just said about the name change of his new Fox series: "Changing the title from Ride-Along to The Chicago Code reflects our belief that this is more than just a cop show. It's about the not just the police but politics, the Midwest, history, Government corruption and the city's code. Plus adding 'Chicago' to anything is always a good idea."

Ugh. Bad idea. This is much worse than when FX changed "Lawman" to "Justified", which still annoys me a bit.
ReplyDeleteI love "Justified"...I think it works just fine for that show.
ReplyDeleteThe Chicago Code is iffy, but I didn't like Ride-along either...
Justified is actually a good name for the show. It fits what the show is about. Lawman just didn't work...
ReplyDeleteShawn Ryan has had several great shows. The Shield, The Unit, and Terriers. So, I trust his decision.
We'll have to agree to disagree about "Justified." I wouldn't call "The Unit" great. It was alright but that's about it. Terriers IS great so it's a shame it'll get canceled.
ReplyDeleteWhy would Terriers get canceled?
ReplyDeleteBecause the ratings are unequivocally awful.
ReplyDeleteReally? I did not know that. I like the show, so that will suck if it does get axed.
