On the "Typewritten Messages" section of the Sprint Fringe Now website, a new message has been unlocked.

After entering SHIFT , the glyph code from "Do Shapeshifters Dream of Electric Sheep?", a video is shown titled "Cancer - Is it like ours?"

    Lol, that doesn't make sense at all.
    (Keep in mind that I only follow the series - if the other side has been over here for over 20-30 years why wouldn't they know about cancer?)

    It kinda does make sense and it doesn't surprise me. This season we learnt that Newton, for instance, has been here since Altlivia (I'm not calling her Bolivia!) was in high school - about what, 15 years ago? So, maybe this sort of info was not important since this is a technological war... And they don't seem to know much about us, except we are evil.

    You see, I think the point of this message is to keep on showing us the differences between our universes - our cancer is not useful, at all, because it tends to kill. Apparently, on the other side, something very similar to it (neoplasia?) is used to regenerate body parts... That's very interesting, because maybe we are just too focused on curing someone from that disease, instead of searching for some sort of advantage from it. It's a matter of perception. Very fringey, indeed!!

    You are right how they would (probably) perceive it, but I still consider it unlikely they wouldn't have reported such a thing like cancer being so different over here. Cancer is daily in the news! How can an Shapeshifter or an someone like Altivia (sounds like a health drink ^_^) blend in if they don't know what that is?
