Cancelled ShowsHBO is getting a divorce from Big Love. The cable net announced that the polygamy drama’s fifth season — premiering Sunday, Jan. 16 — will be its last.
“It has been an honor and pleasure to work with series creators Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer on this unique and provocative series, and I’m happy that they will be able to bring the story to its close the way they always envisioned,” said HBO prez Michael Lombardo in a statement. ”We look forward with great anticipation to collaborating with Mark and Will on their next venture.”

That's it, I'm done with HBO. I'm not spending my $$$ for only Boardwalk. More and more I'm cutting off cable stations. AMC is getting better than Showtime or HBO. Will see how my new PS3 works out and I expect by summer I'll be living on it and the Internet, no more DVR. Too bad as I *am* willing to pay for good material.
ReplyDeleteNot really a bad news for me.
ReplyDeleteIf they get to end the story on their terms, that's a good thing. I don't want them to stretch too much the narrative.
I'm glad they get the time to end it how they'd like... but damnit! I only just got into this show and it seems whenever I start watching something, it gets cancelled.
ReplyDeleteDamanges was a happy exception... though, of course, that was initially cancelled.
