Annette yes- Kristin? I think we will see her in cameo the way we did in the opener as a headline. She has said she really has no interest in coming back at this point. Annette is the one I expect to return along with her real life hubby Michael since Perry White taking over as editor at the DP is one of the key things the show needs to do to align the series with the Superman mythos. Last season we saw Perry- he and Lois are now at the DP Africa desk- his return should be a lock.
Annette yes but If Kristin comes back for the last episode I'll be VERY dissapointed. The only people who I think must be there are Clark, Chloe (who were there from the start), Lois of course and Oliver, Tess, Martha and maybe even Lex if they can manage to convince Michael to come back for the finale. But please oh please no Lana...that story line has been closed. I don't want the last episode to be all Clana vs. Clois angst centric.
I think Kristin has already proven she isnt a bad actress given how well she was recieved by critics and fans on Chuck and even in episodes of Smallville when they dont pile on the angst.
You have to bring Lana back to conclude the arc properly. At the very least, the writers have to address one thing: Why should this universe care about Superman finally arriving if his ex-girlfriend is flying around with his powers and none of his weaknesses? It renders the guy totally irrelevant in his own storyline. I think they need to restore that and really establish Lana in this verse as how she is in Superman lore and mythos as a close confidant of Clark Kent. It depends on how they build her backstory of what she's been doing the last 2 years. If she's moved and been a Superhero herself then thats worth looking at. Also they should show more interaction between Lana and Lois like they did in the comics, so that she is accepting of Lois as Clark's love.
So absolutley you must bring Lana back in. And the writers owe it to her to finally give a decent storyline as the concluding arc. They never did do that wit the character but now with an end in sight, they should try to restore some sense of logic to the proceedings.
The general concesus on Kristin is that when she has good material, she's a good actress. She never really got that on Smallville, but she was great on Chuck because it was a much more easier less angsty role to fufill. I think the writers should try to give it a shot to show what Clark and Lana are like now that they've moved on when they meet. Thats what made the relationship unique in the comics.
well, as far as i know, clark is destined to be alone. so, if he did not end up with lana, he cant end up with lois or anyone else.hmm.... whatever it is, for me, it is ok if lana appears on this episode. at least i watch one more episode of smallville for the last time after KK left the show.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
well I guess critics are never wrong, huh?

ReplyDeleteBet we see at least Martha Kent before the finale.
ReplyDeleteI just hope to see Michael Rosenbaum return by the end of the series. I could do without Kristin's bad acting.
