Showtime sets dates for Shameless, Californication and Episodes

Californication Episodes Pilot Shows ShamelessShowtime has set premieres for its new and returning series.
"Shameless," starring William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum, and "Episodes" with Matt LeBlanc, will debut Sunday, Jan. 9 at 10 and 9:30 p.m. respectively, the network announced Wednesday.
The David Duchovny comedy "Californication" also returns for its fourth season premiere that night and will lead off at 9 p.m.
Showtime will also air the cable premiere of the second "Twilight" installment, "New Moon," on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 8 p.m.
"Shameless," from John Wells, focuses on a patriarch (Macy) of an unconventional Chicago family of six kids. Rossum plays the eldest child.
"Episodes" centers on a U.K. show by a British couple that is turned into an Americanized sitcom, with LeBlanc as the lead.

2. - Has anyone heard anything positive about Shameless? It seems that the only buzz about this show at all is about Emmy Rossum's nudity. If that's the only positive thing anyone can say about the show, it doesn't bode well for its chances for success.

Re Shameless, All I know is that its a reworking of the UK show that has been running for years and is cringeworthingly, well shameless! Ive never seen an American show that could get quite as grungy as an English show so im not convinced they can pull it off but maybe they will surprise me? I will wait to pass comment.
