POLL : What did you think of House - Now What?

  1. Is it April Fools Day? I could have sworn it was September. House used to be such a great show. What has happened to it? Last season there were several episodes that were at the low end, with 5 to 9 likely being the worst, but tonight it was a complete waste of an hour of time.

First of all the show was so jerky and disjointed that the director must have been absent. Things stopped and started with no continuity at all, and if there was a story I think I missed it. The hospital scenes were boring, and several times at House’s apartment I felt like déjà vu having seen the same thing done before on the show. The relationship between House and Cuddy could have been very moving, but instead it was totally dead. There was no sign of any emotional connection between the two characters at any time. Everything felt awkward and forced. Except for one scene when House was speaking and was alone on the screen near the end, even Hugh couldn’t pull this episode out of the toilet I’m afraid.

I suppose the highlight, which even then was just a break in the monotony, was when House pulled Wilson through the window, but that was only a second of very mild amusement. For anyone who thought more of the show than finding entertainment in a couple of moments of two actors half undressed, there was nothing at all either of entertainment value, or anything else to keep a halfway intelligent viewer following. Lisa Edelstein is not up to matching Hugh Laurie one for one. She just can’t do it. The hospital banter is good, but beyond that they need to let it go. Put Cuddy and Huddy on the back burner and get the show back to HOUSE.

Hugh Laurie is a great actor, but he can only work with the material he is given and tonight he wasn’t given anything to work with. I wish he had moved on before the show stooped to this level, because he is way above having to deal with writing and direction like this.

  2. I have mixed opinions. On one hand, I loved it, and on the other hand, I was dissapointed. The episode wasn't very House-y. I feel I can probably trust that the show will return to the format of House that we've come to love, but I still felt a little empty after this episode. But, still as a big House and Cuddy fan, it was great, and I kinda want to watch it again, but not much happened in the episode, and there wasn't much of a mystery. Although I do think it was kinda cool that the team figured out something on their own without House.

  4. To elaborate a bit more on what I said already, I'm not against these two together, but I do do find it annoying when fans champion them, *or any couple really) so aggressively. This episode felt like it only served as fan service for these morons. This ep proves that you shouldn't rush into these things. I know they have been beating around hte bush for years, but the progression here just wasn't natural at all.

  6. I am in no means against Huddy, in fact I like the House/Cuddy pairing. But something about this episode just felt off, and its not the fact that there wasn't a medical mystery (Broken (last season's premiere) was my favorite episode), its just that it felt a little forced and rushed in this episode...as someone else said earlier.

  7. Ha! Yes, in fact I do. However, I don't know this website's policy on possible illegalities regarding copyrights. It'll help if you have a high speed internet connection and have the DivX web player installed.

  10. The episode was so good that i´m still speechless. Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein have the best chemistry i´ve ever seen on a tv show. The writing was just perfect and the directing made the episode look magic.
