After how Hellcats toughed it out last night, I'm not surprised they're getting this small vote of confidence. This news is also another nail in the coffin for LUX.
At the CW I would guess that, above all else, they're happy that their new shows aren't performing poorly. They had to figure that out of OTH and LUX, one wouldn't make it out of this fall season alive. It really softens the blow knowing that Nikita and Hellcats are doing okay. If the CW Friday lineup does well, the network will probably be ready to consider that the fall season looks to be a success, despite the disappointment of LUX.
