Bones - Jersey Shore's "The Situation" to guest?

All I can say is sigh :(

Bones is jumping on the Jersey Shore bandwagon in a big way. Series creator Hart Hanson confirms to me exclusively that he has approached Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino to guest star in an upcoming episode inspired by the MTV phenom.

“We’re trying to get The Situation to play a murder victim,” Hanson reveals. “A guido is killed and Booth and Brennan enter that world to find out what happens. We’re not sure if it’ll happen or not. Talks are ongoing.”

According to the latest casting intel, The Sitch would play fitness guru Ritchie “The V” Genero in the October episode. The search is on for an actress to costar as Ritchie’s Victoria Gotti-esque mom.

“Bones actually understands them because she considers [guidos] a tribe,” explains David Boreanaz. Adds Emily Deschanel: “Brennan anthropologically studies them and knows the lingo and the behavior. [She's] down with the whole guido stuff.”
Deschanel predicts that the episode will be packed with Jersey Shore references. Laughs the actress: “I guarantee that there will be a fist pump.”

  1. Pathetic. I've seen a few episodes of Bones but never really got into it and this definitely won't get me to try it again. To taint a show with this reality tv crap makes me ill. Bad move, guys.

  2. Heap BIG sigh.

Seriously, do we have to consider these people celebrities... shows us everything that's wrong with television and our culture today.

Just say no Hart... just say no!

  3. Tell me about it.

Seems that they are simply jumping on a ratings bandwagon. The more TV
Shows embrace these so called "celebs" the more others will do
likewise. Another example of them "dumbing" down tv. You'd never see
quality shows like Mad Men or Lost etc do a stunt like this. It's a
shame that Bones is going down this route.

  4. Ok, before I read this article, I thought, "NO NO NO NO NO! Unless, he's the victim. AND HE IS! So, while I hate this guy, hopefully he won't have any speaking lines. But damn, Brennan getting "down" with them? Hahahaaha, that's gonna be SO funny!
