Updated Brackets HERE
Our new leaders are, striding back to the top (in Cole "The Winner" McDonald's case), and for the first time for David "toiletpluglight" James with 47 points.
Also, if you wish to be kept more in the loop with the remainder of the competition, join my twitter feed, http://twitter.com/AdDHarris and don't miss out on any of the rest of the competition.
Day 19: And the huge amount of Fringe Fans that flocked here during the first two rounds have deserted, and for 2010, Fringe has found itself out of the competition and failing to beat a show it smashed votes-wise in the first 2 rounds. That show of course is The Wire, and is a worthy addition to the Quarter-Finals, proving wrong some people who felt shows like this, or The Sopranos did not have enough voters on the site in general for any sort of success. Today we see two big guns for the overall title doing battle again, but hall it be adult-slasher/drama Dexter taking out Superman, or will the Man of Steel fend off all on his quest for glory. It's a tough one to call, currently both of my expected winners in Round 3 have fallen, so I have taken a neutral standpoint having never watched either, and am leaving it to you all to send one into the final 8. Let the Battle Commence....

Hey Guys. Good Luck to both shows today. I need Some Reviews and Good Youtube Videos for The Vampire Diaries and for Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip for tomorrows polls! Let me know! Adam
ReplyDeleteVD v Studio 60? How either of those shows got this far is beyond me. 1 got cancelled after 1 season and the other has only had one seasons so far. Deffinately the weekest two and weekest round of the competition now, which is a shame sinse so many far superior shows have been knocked out due to being pitted against other brilliant and deserving shows.
ReplyDeleteIn before avid Smallville fans who have not seen Dexter, proclaiming the show to be the greatest and voting for it despite not seeing the other show in question. Hm.
ReplyDeletewell thats the case for most of this... no one watched every series of the competition...
ReplyDeletebut i gotta say
smallville, you can love it but dexter is a great show and its soooo original! love it
I love Dexter, but I love Smallville more.
ReplyDelete#dexter gives me the creeps. Tried to watch it but honestly, how CAN I cheer for a sociopath mass murderer? Turns my stomach. #smallville on the other hand makes me feel good - it has everything: sci-fi, action, humor - and it puts a smile on my face, especially when Clark and Lois bicker. So, #smallville it is, for me.
ReplyDeleteSMALLVILLE FTW!!!!!!!!!!! C'MON PEOPLE SMALLVILLE 10 YRS OF GREATNESS!!!!!!! 10 YRS!!!
ReplyDeleteYou didn't get the concept of Dexter.
ReplyDeleteObviously. All I saw was a sociopath cutting people to pieces to satisfy his perverted need while trying to avoid his colleagues from the police force. I don't see anything deeper in that. But to each their own.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry little Marie, the legions are on the way.
ReplyDeleteOMG don't do this to me! It's my 2 favorite shows and I have to vote for one of them?
ReplyDeleteI've watched Smallville since the very first season, I've grown up with it for the last 9-10 years, and I still rather enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteBut Dexter is life-changlingly good. And after the 4th season I have no choice but to choose Dexter. Sorry Smallville.
Sounds to me like you just read the Synopsis and not actually watched many episodes
ReplyDeleteNow Lost is over, Dexter is the best show on TV!
Given how large the show's fanbase is and the rightful praise it is given, your interpretation is clearly one that is not shared amongst those who watch it, as they perceive the show far differently to the manner by which you do. And I think you lack the ability to grasp the true concept of the show personally. Also, I'm guessing you haven't watched past the first season? If you've yet to see the show in its entirety thus far, I wouldn't deem it an inferior show.
ReplyDeleteOne day you might want to give it another go, great show =)
ReplyDeleteIs there some sort of Smallville Secret Society (SSS) out there that I'm not aware of? I understand from my son that it's a great show hence the ridiculous stack of DVD's he has, but seriously, he also happens to love Dexter.
ReplyDeleteI wonder which he would choose, I'll have to ask him to get another generation POV. This seems really out of whack.
I can't comment for anyone else, but I am a 32 year old female, and I love it. My brother in law also loves it, He's 38.
ReplyDeleteThis entire concept is so deeply flawed. But congratulations to Smallville, I guess. I watch both shows and like them, though I enjoy Dexter to a far greater degree than I do Smallville.
ReplyDeleteLOL it does sound like she just read the synopsis..
ReplyDeleteThe Dark Passenger has my vote!
I thought that John Lithgow did very well as Trinity!
ReplyDeleteNo, I saw the whole S1 because people were telling me how awesome it is - I kept waiting and waiting and it never got awesome. I just saw one sociopath taunting another and the end result was bloody human pieces.
ReplyDeleteWhy should I watch a show that I don't like? I gave it a whole season - whereas I usually give a new series the chance to grasp me with the pilot and 6 eps top - and it bored me to tears. And if the fact that I can't stand and/or identify with and/or don't get a sociopath mass murderer means that I "lack the ability to grasp the true concept of the show", I will count it as a blessing, thank you.
ReplyDeletePlease, don't assume. I actually did watch the show.
ReplyDeleteI very much doubt that I'll give it another go, there are many shows out there that make me more excited to see them than a series that already failed to entertain me once. But that's just my opinion, as I said, to each their own and it's great that there is a variety of shows, something for everyone :)
ReplyDeleteThen where do you get sociopath and mass murderer?! He by far has saved more lives than taken.
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't sound like Dexter AT ALL. U sure we're talking about the same show? ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, Smallville won? I'm a huge superhero fan and I've yet to finish an episode because of the high school vibe and bad writing/acting. Fan base wins though...
ReplyDeleteUnderstandable if it creeps you out. But it doesn't seem like from above you understand underlying concepts of the show. Also each season has raised the bar and awesome guest actors. Definitely worth looking into.
