Now I am back from Wales after a short break, we are kick-starting the Best Show Competition
tonight with the beginning of Round 3.
We're getting close to crunch time now, and it's the final run towards the end.
Now I have less shows to write up on, and therefore can spend more time per show, is there anything people feel would be cool to add to each shows blurb to try to attract new fans and votes of course. Things such as Youtube links to the pilot trailers, or fan made videos or anything like this. Let me know, and I'll try to add as many as possible starting Round 3, and if not, from the quarter finals for definite.
Also, as always, I would love some new Fan Reviews of the Shows we have left so I can keep the blurbs fresh and interesting, and hopefully so you can attract some fans to the show by saying how great it is. The Remaining shows are:

As for a new blurb, here's one for Supernatural:
ReplyDeleteWhat started off as a seemingly fun, scary monster-of-the week show in the beginning quickly revealed itself to be one of the most well-written, fantastically-plotted, genre shows of the past decade. The core of Supernatural was, is, and will always be the brothers Winchester. Cursed by the demonic murder of their mother at a young age, the remnants of the Winchester family fell into a world of darkness. They were raised by their father to hunt the evil that preys on humanity, and ultimately to rid creation of the demon that killed their mother. Supernatural has one of the most incredible teams of writers I've ever seen: they can take the apocalypse and reduce it to two bratty forces of heaven having a tantrum, and then take a few misguided granted wishes and turn them into imminent danger. The action is well-laid out, the humor is crude, satirical, and sharp, and the twists in this show are some of the most insane, thought-out twists you'll ever see in television. Like I stated previously, however, the heart of this show lies on the brothers, and this show is not only a wonderful buildup of mythos, but the character development is out of this world. I can't speak enough on the evolution, the trials, and the strength of the commitment these two brothers have for each other. That is why Supernatural is the BEST SHOW EVER.

ReplyDeleteI agree. I love GLEE but untill its got at least 3 or 4 good seasons under its belt I would consider it to be an absolute joke if it won. Sam goes for any other newby, not sure where I stand on shows cancelled after only one season I guess in all fairness they too in my mind dont belong in this competition. But hey there was no rule against them so I'll just go with it. Total shame if one of those shows were to win though, esp sinse there are some absolutely brilliant shows left in this competition, shows with more than just one awesome season to boast about.
ReplyDeleteGrey's Anatomy should be top 5 for sure. LOST, the Office, Supernatural, and NCIS are the only other shows I see being decent on this list. GREY'S ANATOMY FTW!

Vampire Diaries for the WIN!!!!
ReplyDeleteK.. Fringe v.s. Smallville or Lost would kill me...but otherwise GO FRINGE!!! There are so many plot twists and the characters are so likeable and real that it's impossible for me to not like it. And the music is just plain phenominal. It is altogether a work of art.

ReplyDeleteso, my guess is that he Smallville win agaisnt VP they will unfortunatly lose vs The Wire and then SPN vs The X-file... i really dont know who will win but after it will be vs LOST so they will lose lol.

I love NCIS too. Abby is one of the greatest characters ever, but it in no way beats Supernatural. There is way too much on TV like NCIS. Supernatural is one of a kind. While known as being a genre show, Supernatural can out-funny any comedy on now and out-heartfelt most dramas I've ever seen. It is well-written with an overall myth arc that actually makes sense and seems well-thought out. Try to find that in any other "genre" show. I have been an avid fan since episode 3 and I am still hooked on the idea of the Winchester brothers fighting to overcome a truly dysfunctional family while trying to save the world and each other. The actors sell the brotherhood bond better than any other on TV and it's this bond that makes it the best TV show currently on. Season 5 was not Supernatural's best, and it was still miles more entertaining than anything else I watched this year.
