Doctor Who - Billie Piper to return

Thanks to Annie for the heads up.

BILLIE Piper will return to Doctor Who with ALL the Time Lord’s former companions as part of David Tennant’s final episode.

Billie, 26, will again play Rose Tyler and teams up with other sidekicks Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) and Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman).

The trio will join forces to take on the Doctor’s revived arch-enemy The Master, played again by John Simm.

The episode sees the Timelord regenerate into the new Doctor (Matt Smith).

An insider said: “This will be the most exciting episode Doctor Who have ever done. We really wanted to get all the companions back on board as a fitting send-off to David.

“And of all the enemies for him to face in his final episode it makes sense for The Master to be the main one. Getting Billie to agree is a real coup, but she loved working on the show so much it didn’t take much convincing.”

Rose — who left after series two — formed the strongest bond with the Doctor out of the female companions. She returned for a few episodes in the last series where she was reunited with the Doctor.

Rose then returned to Earth with a separate half-human version of the Time Lord.

Since she left Doctor Who, Billie has gone on to star in the raunchy ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She plays a high-class hooker in the risque show, which is currently on its third series.

We revealed yesterday how her three brothers and sisters are embarrassed about her success.

David, 37, will quit the show after the last of the four specials.

Meanwhile the red London bus set to feature in the first special has been damaged in Dubai by schoolkids.

  1. No, I mean I kinda hated the ending they gave her, but at least she had A doctor even if it wasnt the real doctor. I love Billie and Rose, and I know anything can happen in sci-fi but come on, let the girl live out her life in peace...

  2. So it's another one of RTD's bringing back everyone he can to please everyone endings?
Master? I'm down for that. But bringing the companions back is just pointless and stupid and dilutes Journey's End completely.

  3. holy crap the master's back! john simm was great, thoroughly enjoyable to watch, and martha back too, that's great. i enjoyed that season that they were in. but i agree bringing all of them back sounds a bit overboard. hope jack harkness and co are in it too.

  4. Nooooo!!! I love Rose and everything but I don't need/want to see her...AGAIN!! Her exit was perfect in series 2 and her return in series 4 was pointless! She didn't do anything! Just leave her on the parallel world with her doctor! lol. But the Master? I'm cool with that! Martha, ok. Donna? As much as I would love her to return (she's my favorite companion), I would rather her not because that would ruin her emotional exit in series 4. If anything, just have the Doctor see her from a distance...just walking down the street or something...no conversations needed...idk...Im tired lol!

  6. Dude, this sounds too good to be true. Donna? The Master? Oh, my little fangirl heart is about to burst from the epic-ness! xD

And I love Rose, but please don't drag her out of Petes World to stand around and look pretty like they did in the finale. Lets see some s1-era butt kicking from her, or just let her party it up across the void with human!Doctor (who I still think should have been Eccleston... GO NINE!)

But yeah, lol, this looks awesome.

  7. Who seriously thinks that this is true? I mean...I really don't think this is going to happen. Where did you hear this rumor from?
They already had one of these episodes at the end of season four, do they need another so soon? I'm all for Rose coming back and the Master...but...this seems a little too much, don't you think?
