NCIS - Rocky Carroll to join Cast

LOS ANGELES, June 16 - Rocky Carroll joins the cast of NCIS next season as NCIS Director Leon Vance, an intelligent, highly trained agent who in the season finale showed his power over Gibbs (Mark Harmon) by re-shuffling his team. In this past season, Carroll was a recurring guest star portraying the Assistant Director, but following the murder of Director Jenny Shepard (Lauren Holly) in the season finale, Vance was promoted to Director.

Tony Award nominee Rocky Carroll previously appeared in "The Agency," and with NCIS co-star Mark Harmon in the long-running hospital drama "Chicago Hope," both on the Network.
