Meet two brainiacs with a lot to learn. Leonard and Sheldon can tell their quarks from their quantum physics, but have no clue how women add up. Leave it to their pretty new neighbor, just off a messy breakup, to teach them a thing or two in THE BIG BANG THEORY. Starring Johnny Galecki (from Roseanne) and Kaley Cuoco (from 8 Simple Rules)

Just finished the pilot to "The Big Bang Theory". Not bad, not great, just another average sitcom. I'm usually not a big fan of the quick one-liners and the canned laugh track and this one is no exception. The characters are somewhat endearing and the writing isn't all that bad, the show overall is pretty decent. Two physicists that are nerds to the Nth degree get a hot, sexy new neighbor and laughs ensue, basic formula applies: One of the guys is struck with love at first sight, the other makes fun of him because he doesn't have a chance, the girl is sweet and vulnerable after a break-up, does the poor nerd have a chance...blah, blah, blah.

Bottom line: I'm not going to go out of my way to watch this show, it was well made, decent acting, decent writing, somewhat funny, but that's just about it. Basically, if I'm channel surfing and "The Big Bang Theory" is on and I've got nothing better to do, I can sit and watch it and be entertained for a half-hour.
