It looks like Supernatural Episode 8.12 now has a new title. It was previously called "Out of Time", however we've learnt that it will now be called "As Time Goes By".
We have a couple of small snippets about this episode.
- A character called Henry will all appear. He is a junior member of an anti-demonic cult in the 1950's. He manages to open a portal that takes him to 2013.
- Another character called "Josie Sands". She is the host of a Demon called Abbadon a she follows Henry through to 2013 to claim a vital artifact.

Zap2It have some other details here.
In episode 812, titled "As Time Goes By," we'll see a cult forming in 1958. The anti-demonic group has good intentions, as does Henry, a rookie member who joins the cult with the intention of protecting his 7-year-old son.
Described as "Robert Downey Jr. meets Cary Grant," Henry is dapper, smart, and considerably cocky... until he rips open a time portal and finds himself hurtled into 2013, where he's a little off his game. He doesn't time-travel alone, though. He's followed through the portal by 28-year-old Josie Sands, a sexy, strong Katharine Hepburn type... with a secret.
Needless to say, when Sam and Dean happen upon the time travelers in their hunt for a bloodthirsty demon, shenanigans ensue. Not to mention -- Henry's son would be 62 at this point, and we'd certainly expect him to factor in somehow.

Abbadon? I sure hope they mean Abaddon. Because HEL YEAH oblique angel mythology.
ReplyDeleteIt's spelt Abbadon in a casting info we got setn
ReplyDeleteThey forgot there was a 1 year time jump in Season 6 too. We're actually 2 years into future on this show technically.
ReplyDeleteOh well. SPN timeline has been messed up even before we started doing time jumps.
sounds good
ReplyDelete2013? Seriously? Did the writers forget the time jump again? It's your job, damn it!
ReplyDeleteAs a fan, I'm offended by their behavior. If they want to mess with time, the less they can do is follow the time line.
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteI think that with Abbadon they're referring to Judaism. In Hebrew, this word (pronounced "Avadon") means "Doom".
I skimmed through and saw "Robert Downey Jr" and thought "Oh shit he is in the show?" Skimming is bad. :(
ReplyDeleteAll I can think of is that this is awfully like that terrible time traveling tie-in novel, but without the bad romance plot line at least.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so looks like they forgot about the real time difference. Well...
ReplyDeleteThey change the titles quite a lot, lately. I'm getting used to this.
But hey, I like time travels! So the episode sounds interesting! Can't wait:)
They don't care about the time jumps. They remember them.
ReplyDeleteHa! I did the same thing... my eye found "Robert Downey Jr." and I was like, "Whaaaaa? How'd they get HIM to guest star?!"
ReplyDeleteTop we're about 1 year if you consider the hellatus month that we waited. After S3 there was 4 months jump and we waited 4 months, so it ended being the same date
ReplyDeleteAfter S5 we jumped 1 year but waited 4 months, so we were 8 months in front. No jump after Season 6, but we waited 4 months, so at best we were like 4 months in front. And this summer we waited 4 months and went 1 year into the futur, so we're max. 1 year ahead. But we don't know if every season was 'Exactly' 8 months or not 6 months here, 8 the other and 7 months...etc, so its kind of hard to tell
Damn time travel. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteLove Time Travel eps, sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteIt's possible I guess, for it to be technically 1 year, 4 months, but we can't say for sure if when they say one year later, that it's exactly that. It could be a bit longer since usually they set their premieres in fall, and normally in their timeline they end in May.
ReplyDeleteIt gives me a headache thinking about it.
That was actually one I liked lol. My least favs of the novels were the 1st and 3rd.
ReplyDelete^^; Why its way too easy to jump at the writers throat, throw them rocks and say that we're 2 years ahead of us for sure, and that's it that's all. If they follow the same patern than they did in S3-S4 jump time, it's not exactly 1 year ahead of us each time
ReplyDeleteOr 4 months = 4 months and 1 year = 1 year and 4 months, that would make the first half of S6 only 2 months since in 6x12 they said to Sam he was gone for 1 1/2 year^^;; is that mean that the second half was only 2 months too?......I'm thinking they apply the same logic than they did with Lazarus rising, counting the hellatus in it and we have to do the maths
Now its really hard to know the exact numbers of month they,re supposed to be ahead :S...is it 1 year? 10 months? 6 months? 9 months 3 days and 23 hours.....?
This actually sounds really interesting. Man, it's nice to be able to hear episode snippets and think they're interesting again. For a while last season, that just wasn't the case.
