Thanks to Tsukikomew for the heads up.
The casting scoop is right here: The Flash‘s Robbie Amell and Six Feet Under‘s Lauren Ambrose are joining Fox’s upcoming X-Files revival, TVLine has confirmed.
Amell will play smart and smooth Agent Miller and Lauren Ambrose will play the equally sharp and confident Agent Einstein.

When i saw this i was immediately happy that he would go away from Flash, but then i saw on Deadline : Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose have signed on to guest in one episode
ReplyDeleteTV Line says they will be in all six episodes of the show.
ReplyDeleteLooks like we know what is about to happen to Firestorm on The Flash.
ReplyDeleteGood-bye Ronnie Raymond. Hello Jason Rusch/Jay Jackson.
Just because he's in X-files, doesn't mean he's off The Flash for goood, even if it's for the entire 6 episodes, that shouldn't take more than 2-3 months to shoot, he could easily come back.
ReplyDeleteTrue ... but ... I just get this feeling Firestorm will become a "Legends of Tomorrow" character. With Ronnie losing his power and either Jay Jackson getting his half or Jay Jackson is a code name for Jason Rusch and he will be recast on The Flash before moving over to Legends.
ReplyDeleteEW also says it's just one episode.
ReplyDeleteYou don't like him on The Flash?
ReplyDeleteAmbrose is good, at least she was good in SFU, but Amell? Come on, he's more wooden than Pinocchio
ReplyDeleteStay on The Flash Robbie!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy about Lauren. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love it if they'd wrap up the alien mythology with Scully and Mulder and then continue the series with new agents (like they tried to do in seasons 8 and 9). I've been rewatching the show for the first time in 10 years and have a whole new appreciation for it.
ReplyDeleteRead the comments from the article. There's a potential clue there.
ReplyDeleteJason Rusch has already been on The Flash, so they could very well be creating a brand new character, ala 'Curtis Holt' with this Jay Jackson character.
ReplyDeleteOr they could just recast Jason with.
ReplyDeleteI like Lauren Ambrose. I'm currently watching "Six Feet Under" I'm in the middle of the fourth season. It's really good.
ReplyDeleteNOOO ROBBIE!! You better be doing two projects at once!!! You don't belong here!! You belong with US!! In our universe not this one! DON'T LEAVE!! NOT YET!
ReplyDeleteThe X-Files is only 6 episodes which should only take like 2-3 months to shoot, so he could easily be able to still be in The Flash, even if he is only for the back half.
ReplyDeleteNooo, i dont want him to leave the flarrow universe, i like ronnie! Damn it
ReplyDeleteThat makes me feel better. I panicked for a minute. When does X-Files start again??
ReplyDeleteSo it's just one episode?
ReplyDeleteI hate re-casting, but I guess they can.
ReplyDeleteJanuary 24
ReplyDeleteI thought it started in Jan. (Forgot the actually date), then yeah, i don't have to, (well, we don't have to) worry about Robbie.
ReplyDeleteHe is confirmed to be in the premiere, but he kind of had to be seeing how the season ended. I don't think anyone fears that. The problem is what happens after the premiere.
ReplyDeleteInteresting choice for Robbie. I didn't expect him to do TV again at this point. I'm really intrigued to see where they will go with his character on the Flash.
ReplyDeleteCaitlin's line from the CC trailer is also worrying. O.o
There's no word on how many episodes he'll actually appear. He could be like Doggetts replacement partner for Scully that appeared in one single episode and then left after being attacked by the lizard creature only to have Mulder save both her and Doggett.
ReplyDeleteRobbie Amell is in everything these days
ReplyDeleteAre you talking about X-Files or Flash? With the "No word on how many episodes he'll be in" comment? B/c i'm pretty sure he's sticking around in The Flash. And now that i know when X-Files is starting, my panicking mode of Robbie not being in Flash had went down immensely. LOL
ReplyDeleteGood casting, I remember Lauren being pretty much the only thing I liked about Torchwood Miracle Day, and that's the only thing I remember seeing her in. (Never watched Six Feet Under). Haven't watched anything Robbie Amell has been in (bar that one PLL episode), so don't really have any strong opinions on his casting. But excited for Ambrose. Too bad it's only one episode.
ReplyDeleteI ment X Files ^^
ReplyDeleteThe only characters on the show that really stuck around were Scully, Mulder, Doggett, Reyes, Skinner, Krycek, Spender and Spender Jr. the rest were gone pretty quickly
I actually liked Miracle Days premise and parts of the execution but the season kinda felt like it censored itself on various aspects (Jack felt more like a guest character on his own show, Gwen turned into super-Gwen in the most dull way possible)
ReplyDeleteTotally true. He was so bad on Flash
ReplyDeleteNo way in hell. There is no X-Files without Mulder (Duchovny) and Scully (Anderson)
ReplyDeleteThey might be the best but Doggett and Monica were perfectly suitable replacements back in seasons 8 and 9, I loved them. So I wholeheartedly disagree. But of course it totally depends on what direction the story takes.
ReplyDeleteThe new Mulder and Scully?
ReplyDeleteYou liked the leads being replaced? Why?
ReplyDelete& awful in The Tomorrow People
ReplyDeleteHe was ok in that movie The Duff but mostly his part was stand there and flash his body a lot
ReplyDeleteSounds like perfect part for him
