10:50 - Incorporated - Syfy Pilot from Matt Damon & Ben Affleck - Georgina Haig Joins Cast
Fringe and Once Upon a Time alum Georgina Haig has joined the cast of Syfy’s Incorporated, EW can exclusively reveal.
The futuristic thriller set in 2062 centers on Ben Larson (Sean Teale, Reign), an executive “forced to change his identity in order to infiltrate a cut-throat corporate world,” reads a Syfy press release. Haig will portray his wife.
Other than her time spent filling the highly coveted shoes of Princess Elsa, Haig’s other credits include a starring role on CBS’ Reckless and a costarring role on the miniseries Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS as well as films like Crawl and Road Kill, Wasted on the Young. She is represented by Paradigm and Sue Barnett and Associates.

Will Arnett is returning as the voice of the Dark Knight.
Michael Cera has inked a deal to voice-star as Robin, Batman’s partner-in-crimefighting, in Lego Batman, Warner Bros.’ spinoff of The Lego Movie.
The film reunites much of the behind-the-brick talent from Lego Movie and features Will Arnett returning as the voice of the Dark Knight. Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the custodians of the Lego screen brand, are producing. Chris McKay, the animation supervisor on Lego Movie, is directing. The script was written by author-screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith.

EXCLUSIVE: Syfy has found the lead for Incorporated, its espionage thriller set in a dystopian future where companies have unlimited power. Sean Teale (Reign) will star as Ben Larson, a rising star in a mega-corporation called Chrysalis who is determined to climb the rickety, bloodstained ladder of success in order to find and rescue the woman he loves — and will tromp on anyone who gets in his way. The drama hails from Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s Pearl Street Productions, CBS Television Studios and Universal Cable Productions.
Created by David and Alex Pastor, who wrote and will direct the pilot, Incorporated is set in 2062, where climate change has ravaged the planet, ethical boundaries have been redrawn and American cities have become a tantalizing and terrifying mix of the luxurious and the medieval. It will explore the growing influence of corporations and private interests in Washington, the slow but steady dismantling of the public sector and the increase of an amazing amount of wealth by an ever-shrinking minority. Damon and Affleck are exec producing with showrunner Ted Humphrey and Jennifer Todd.

10:15 - Crazy Ex-Girlfriend - Vella Lovell and Pete Gardner Join Cast as Series Regulars
Vella Lovell and Pete Gardner are set as series regulars opposite Rachel Bloom in The CW’s upcoming comedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
The project centers on Rebecca (Bloom), a successful, driven and possibly crazy young Manhattan woman who impulsively gives up everything in a desperate attempt to find love and happiness in that exotic hotbed of romance and adventure: West Covina, CA. Newcomer Lovell, repped by Gersh and Industry Entertainment, plays Rebecca’s underachiever neighbor Heather. Gardner, plays Rebecca’s boss Darryl, who considers himself very cultured and intellectual.

LoL Georgina Haig is 7 years older than Teale and will play his wife. Teale showed tendencies towards older women in Reign, but glad both of them got new roles. No matter how toxic Conde was for Reign I think he is a solid actor.

ReplyDeleteHaig does not look 29 and will probably play younger on the show,and I am not familiar with Teale at all, but he looks older than 23 and can probably play older. My guess is they will both be playing 25-26 on the show.

Hurry for GH joining Incorporate! I so wish season 5 of Fringe would have been a little longer and of course she was a great Elsa and OUAT!
ReplyDeleteAs a rule, I don't watch shows from Scyfy but I actually think Incorporated sounds good. And despite all the damage that the Conde character did to Reign, I never thought Sean Teale was at fault, I think he was a solid actor.
